Statue of a standing woman in formal dress, with an unusual necklace supporting a Christian cross. Wood, with fine glossy patina. India, 19th century. Height: 18.5 cm. The statue is nicely mounted on a custom stand. Abrasion due to age, otherwise good condition.

According to many Indians, this old juicer would also doubled as a pasta maker. With the carved animal heads on each side, and great aged patina, it makes an interesting sculptural artifact of India's culture.

An interesting Chinese tomb figure of possibly an attendant to serve in the afterlife. Tomb figures appear constantly in the history of Chinese art through the tombs of past dukes and imperial personages. Age: Ming/Qing, Size: Length 3.5" Width 2.75" Height 10.75"

Lovely early Victorian sterling silver paste pendant with a border of paste stones and royal blue enamel, most likely was a pendant given as a gift to a loved one. The beautiful blue color represented innocence and virtue and was probably given to a young woman by her suitor. Women adored their paste jewelry as much as their diamonds, so the use of paste stones indicates this was likely owned by a member of the "upper crust". The pendant is approximately 1 1/4 inches.

Antique Japanese framed floral painting, with silver and gold flake accent clouds, of sprouting white lilies, with red chop, possibly by Ogata Korin (1658-1716), Rinpa School.

This nicely carved jade (jadeite) pendant is 2 ½” long, 1 ½” wide and ¼” thick. It is a late 19th or early 20th century product. It is carved on both sides as a twisted RuYi (如意) scepter with LingZhi (靈芝) ends surrounded by a small unknown plant. A small lucky bat is sitting on top of the carving. It is in great condition.

A Sterling Silver Sugar Basket or Sweetmeat Dish in a Bright Cut Design from the George III period, by Thomas Chawner (makers mark slightly rubbed) and Hallmarked in London, 1786. Dimensions; 4.75" long x 3.25" wide x 6" high to handle; 3.6 Troy ounces. Escellent condition.

Outside cloth of yogi which is one kind of futon in the shape of kimono, made of hand-spun cotton and vegetable indigo dye. It has tsutsugaki (glue-resist dyeing) "takara-zukushi" (various treasures) design. In good condition as a whole but has three mending patches in front and a few stains. Chinese tea bowl with very thinly engraved sgraffito decoration of a lady in her garden. Illegible seal mark in red. The hairstyle of the lady points to the Republic period, around 1930. Height: 2 1/4" / 6 cm. Condition: minor chip to the inside of the foot rim.
