A pieced cotton quilt in a pattern called, “Goose on the pond” probably from the mid-West and made in the late 19th century. The pattern is made up of pattern printed blue, orange and white fabrics. The same orange fabric is used throughout, but the blue and white are made up of different prints. The quilting is diagonal lines. Cotton seeds in the stuffing visible through the back. A nicely made large quilt in the triple Irish chain pattern from the late 19th century. The chains made of small squares of yellow, red and green pattern printed cotton. The double red border is of the same red printed pattern. There are seeds visible in the filling between the backing and the jam side. The quilting in the white squares is a feather wreath enclosing four hearts or possibly a four leaf clover. The white border between the two lines of red is quilted with tulips...
This is a 19th century excellently hand-carved netsuke depicting a Kyogen and Noh Mask Group of Nine. Among the ancient Japanese Theater represented on this mask are: Hannya, Buaku, Okame, Okina, Otafuku, Oji, Osofuki, Noborihige, and Tenjin. Signed Koichi in an oval rectangular reserve, right next to the himotoshi.
It measures 1.65 inches (4.2cm) in diameter, and 1.08 inches (2.8cm) thick. It is in excellent preserved condition.

Antique Chinese hanging scroll of a "Courtesan Playing the Flute" signed Qiu Ying.
This painting is of two courtesans waiting to entertain the emperor. The emperor would be seated in front of a screen of dragons. The empress would be seated in front of a scene with phoenixes. The courtesan on the right plays the flute while the courtesan on the left holds a fan. The skill of Qui Ying can be seen in the rendering of the sheer quality of the fan, the courtesan's sleeve is visible behind it...
