Japanese antique inro with one compartment, carved of wood and lacquered a very dark brown. On one side, a silvery bat flies through the air. On the other side, a fishing net hangs to dry on a fence. The fishing net is done in gold lacquer and the fence is made of shell inlay. The inside of the inro case is lacquered a deep red with gold edging.

A pair of extremely large antique English drinking glasses, each with a bucket bowl on a plain stem. Glasses of this size in this form are quite uncommon, and it is very unusual to find a pair. Good color, striations, and tooling marks. Rough snapped pontil.
Their condition is excellent, with no problems whatsoever. A museum label remains on the foot of one of the glasses. The height is 8", with bowl and foot diameters of 3 3/4".

A beautiful and unusual English double series opaque twist (dsot) wine goblet, the large ogee bowl with honeycomb molding above a stem containing a solid multi-ply spiral band outside of a pair of heavy spiral threads. A substantial conical foot with rough, snapped pontil.
This fine example has wonderful color, striations, and tooling marks, and is in excellent condition with no flaws. The height is 7 1/2", with a bowl diameter of 3 3/8" and a foot diameter of 3 3/5".

A rare and complete group of an ox and carriage in grey pottery with remains of polychrome. China, Tang Dynasty (618-907). The result of the thermoluminescence test by Kotalla is consistent with the dating of this lot.
The report is included in the sale. Dimensions: the carriage H. 32 cm, L. 23 cm, the ox H. 18 cm, L. 23 cm. Condition: very good, no visible repairs, although repairs on early pottery are quite common and accepted.

An unusual Arita enamelled wall-vase, kakehana, circa 1750. The seed-shaped hollow body is moulded with trailing vines supporting a dragonfly. The painter has used two different greens, aubergine, yellow and black. The unglazed back is pierced for suspension. It is probable that this kakehana was made for the home market.

Flattened Circular flask form, with slightly flared neck, with stylized chi-longs crawling up on the sides, having an oval raised footing with a high indentation underneath. Wide, slightly concave mouth. Its symmetrical formal shape tells us that it was probably made to represent an antique flask. Very Rare and unusual highly inlaid Korean two section chest. Decorated with nine serpentine dragons of mother of pearl and faux tortoiseshell in horn. The front Nong has a brass escutcheon in the form of a butterfly with cut out detialing in its wings. It has complete circle knob brass locks and key.
