Late Meiji to early Showa (1895-1930) period Satsuma covered bowl. Measures 8 3/4" diameter and is 5 1/4" high with the cover on. Decorated in a moriage pattern with young boys (Karako) playing at various pastimes, highly detailed painting interspersed with raised white moriage dots. The interior of the bottom and the lid are both decorated with an elaborate scene of birds flying amongst a profusion of flowers. Excellent condition with no cracks or chips or restorations.

This is a rare pair of sterling silver candlesticks made by the esteemed Mauser silver manufacturing company of New York, New York between 1887 and 1903. The candlesticks are 8" tall and the base measures 4 1/2" in diameter. The stem is weighted, and the bottom is fully hallmarked. One of the candlesticks was expertly repaired at the bottom of the stem just above the base. There is an Old English letter engraved on top of the base, your guess is as good as mine as to what letter it could be...

Very finely modeled in blanc de chine porcelain, this figure depicts a fish seller, seated next to his basket of fresh fish. Measuring 10" high x 8 1/2" wide, with a stamped mark of Sandizell, Hoffner & Co, Dresden, West Germany, it dates to the 1960's and is also signed in script, S. Matt, which is probably the artist. By the London silversmith, John Keith, this ornate cream jug was made in 1853. The hallmarks are all clear, and include the silver standard, Queen Victoria, the date mark and mark of Keith. It measures 5 1/4" high and is 4 1/4" wide from tip of lip to handle. Lovely rococo repousse designs, with the base standing on four feet in the shape of hooves. A Three Piece George V Silver Tea Set with a heavily chased design. The teapot is 5.5" high x 9.5" wide and weighs 11.1 Troy ounces; the sugar is 3.5" high x 5.5" wide and weighs 5.5 Troy ounces; the creamer is 3.25" wide x 4.75" wide and weighs 2.8 Troy ounces. Both the sugar and creamer have a gold washed interior.
