Margot Van Voorhies Carr designed and hallmarked this Mexican Silver Renaissance necklace. The stones are more jelly colored and are better than normally seen in Mexican silver. It is without damage and does have a wearable length of 15in. naturally to 16.5in. with an included heavy extension. The weight is 95 grams and the link is 1in. tall. Margot de Taxco heart bracelet is one of Margot Van Voorhies iconic designs from the Mexican Silver Renaissance. This is a published design in the Penny Morrill book on Margot de Taxco. The design is 1.5inches tall with dark and jelly like stones of amethyst which are a better quality than normally seen. The bracelet sits 7in. around the wrist and fits most. This is a sterling link bracelet by Hans Hansen ,(1884-1940),Denmark. It is an early piece signed with the superimposed double "H" mark, so pre- 1930. This vintage, hand wrought wearable work of art comprised of sterling silver, pyramid shaped amethyst & channel set turquoise was designed & signed c. 1934-48 by Taxco, Mexico artist Matilde Poulat. Signed La Estrella Taxco 980 this lotus pectoral is an exceptional work. Several artists created the Lotus design. The Taller of La Estrella produced the most beautiful pectorals and they are rare. Sanborns crafted this open backed repousse cuff with a floral motif. This type of work is an early method with this one being of exceptional weight of 71 grams and a height of 2in. Sometimes these cuffs have holes where light comes thru and or have a lighter weight of silver. This has none of those issues of damage, repairs or faults of any kind.
