An exquisite example with a floral design motif on a gold foil background. Made with silver wire and I believe the box binding is sliver although tarnished. Measuring 4 x 3 x 2 1/4 inches in excellent condition no damage. This would be a fine addition to and collection.

Ex. the cutting sections of the agate surface with ridges can be observed that it was made by simple instruments and manual cutting skills. And the polishing was omitted without special attentions at the tips of the cutting ends and at the inner side of the rim...

Description: A dark black glazed bowl was found from a shipwrecked hoard of South East Asia. Produced probably from Fujian kiln, this beautiful black bowl was preserved with original charming glaze condition only with one minor glaze defect on the mouth rim. This bowl had been cleaned meticulously with boiled water and ready for real use. Some coral adherence were kept for authentication and for original mood. Date: Southern Song to Yuan Dynasty(13-14th Century) Width: 11.2cm Height: 6.0cm

This is a medium-size Liao dynasty (907–1125A.D.) moulded polychrome earthenware plate with leaded glaze. It rests on a short foot rim, a flat everted base before rounding up. It has a simple floral motive. On the underside, the glaze is in dark olive green with the glaze flow stopped short at about just before the short foot rim exposing a light greyish white earthenware.

Description: A blue and white covered box was applied with motifs of weeds and tendrils all over the surface except the part of the foot rim. Added with a Chinese word 'Shi' (joyful) in duplicate form on the cover's surface, this box was therefore enhancing the charming of a Chinese mood. This is a Song dynasty (960 – 1276 A.D.) white glaze stem cup. It rest on a flared foot rising inwards to a short neck and then towards a everted u-shaped cup. It has a simple abstract cloud like wave motive between two bands of lines. On the underside, the white glaze flow stopped short at about half way down the stem exposing the light buff colour stoneware. A nice piece.

This is a Song dynasty (960 – 1276 A.D.) Henan splashed bowl in Russet brown colour. It is conical in shape with a flared rim, supported on a very short foot. The centre of the bowl is covered with lustrous black glaze with splashed brown streak radiating from the centre. At the bottom of the bowl, there is minute traces of iridescent silvery colour (pic 3). On the underside, the black glaze flow stopped short of the foot with a thick pool of glaze exposing the greyish buff ware...

Description: A beautiful covered metal box was delicately chased and carved with traditional Chinese scenes like pagodas, mountain ridges and pine troves as main picture on the cover's surface. Added more with good metaphors like bats, chrysanthemums and flying magpies on the box's outer surface, this alloyed box therefore became a nice cosmetic holder for the use of a fair lady...

Description: An exquisite ivory carving was in an imitation of a bamboo section with which a snail was crawling on it. In a simple clear form, this ivory was a scholar item as a brush rest and a curiosity as well...

Description: An old wooden tablet with inscription of Yi Yen Tang-the hall of happy swallow was a classical piece originated probably from a lady's chamber room of a noble family's house. Preserved well with faded golden paint, the feminine word Yi-Ye was possibly from a fair lade's name, or was used as a metaphor for the family's well- being. Fierce looking old Samurai ningyo (Japanese doll) in rare museum quality. His head is carved wood and the face resembles kabuki actors or Jyoruri ningyo (18th to 19th century puppet theater dolls) from the Edo period (1603-1868). It is definitely a work of art.

The Suoh, the outfit that the doll is wearing, was worn by different ranking samurais at various periods in history. The fabric is made out of Asa (Japanese hemp) and the rest is silk...

Description: A jade boy was carved beautifully by a celadon jade pebble. With sharp clean cutting skill, this jade was expressed vividly as a traditional Chinese boy holding a lotus vein. Posed with one foot stepping forward and facial expression described with simple sketchy lines, the figure was shaped by the jade pebble's original size...

This is a blue and white brush rest for a scholar study. The brush rest is manufactured in the likeness of blue and white wares on which Arabic and Persian inscriptions appear during the reign of emperor Cheng-Te, Ming dynasty. The painting is like a scroll work know as the “Muhammadan scrolls” with inter-twining foliage.

An Arabic inscription is found on both sides of the brush rest, in the centre of the brush rest, in a diamond shape medallion...

Description: A white glazed incense burner from northern China of 14th to 15th Century was in elegant shape. Kept in perfect condition except with some frets on the glaze, the surface of the tripod censer was separated with 4 parts. Light key-fret imprints were applied on the surface of the middle sector. Date: 14th-15th Century(late Yuan to early Ming) Width: 12cm Height: 8.4cm Condition: Perfect except some frets on the surface.

It is a very beautiful and finely potted vase dated from the early Republic period. The vase is of ovid shape, the sides rising upwards from the base, curving in towards a slightly rounded shoulder and surmounted by a short curve neck upwards to short straight rim. The body is pure white and translucent. On the body of the vase, it is a scene of autumn period as shown by a beautiful bird perching on a tree almost bare of leaves...

Description: A minor sculpture of a steatite ram from Han Dynasty was newly excavated and had been used as a portable phone pendent for a real use. A real piece with clean cut carving which was a Han sculpture's style. Date: Han Dynasty(BC206-AD220) Length: 0.9cm
