Description:

A precious Zitan wood brush-licker was intriguingly carved with sea-waves patterns on the surface.
By waving-like circular rim, the scholar vessel was in dark tint and was reflected with purplish tint on the fretting rim. The characteristic Ox-Furs' wood grains were yielded.
It was a decent piece by good design and well maneuvered carvings.

Date: Qing dynasty, late 19th century.

A Jiangyang Temmoko bowl was decorated with radiating russet splashes on the surface.
It was a rare type of this kind in Jiangyang wares.
Enduring old crackles were yielded naturally in the glaze when retrospective sheen was reflected on the surface.
It was used to be coated on the mouth rim with silver band. The silver band had long gone and only left with the residues around.

A pair of Jizhou jars was intriguingly molded in imitation of two woven bamboo boxes.
By typical characteristics of sticking-rice-like body clay which revealed at the lower portion of the boxes and the flat foot rings, the ware’s glaze was kept in very good condition.
On the surface, clear and crispy patterns were beautifully defined. Hand-crafted knobs were skillfully added on the top of the caps.
Some adhesives were preserved on the surface for authentication...

A Longquan jarlet was mold with two looped handles nearing to the short neck.
By retrospective celadon tint, the jarlet was yielded on the surface with enduring old crackles in the glaze.
Characteristic firing red was rendered at the body clay underneath.
Being added with a wooden plug, the ancient jarlet can be a fine tea caddy for a practical use.

A small Chinese blue and white porcelain dish. Foo Dogs with balls amongst clouds and flames decoration. The white glaze pooling to a pale celadon tone inside the rim and around the foot. A four character underglaze blue hall mark appears inside root rim. Acquired from Amos Judd and Son antiques on Howard Street in Baltimore in the early 90's. Reasonably good condition with some fritting to the rim but no cracks and a sure and clear resonance when tapped. Diameter approximately 5 inches (13 cm)

This unusual pair of Chinese dolls were made with wire bodies covered with fabric padding and then silk clothing. Their heads, lower arms and feet are made from some kind of composition material and then painted. Because of their wire construction, their arms, legs, and bodies etc can be carefully repositioned.
