This is a Yuan dynasty qingpai or yingqing octagonal shaped vase with a cover. It stands on a small flat base rising to a octagonal shaped body and then towards a straight short neck and small mouth rim. The body is divided into three horizontal sections. The octagonal shaped body is sandwich between two horizontal bands of moulded relief of lotus leave. The octagonal body is moulded with alternating moulded relief design of lotus plants with flowers and that of sunflower plant...

Description: A bronze censer in elegant rectangular shape was rarely inscribed with scholar hall mark. Had been polished in some way, the excellent bronze quality was therefor revealed. A 18/19 century Qing piece was from a European provenance. Dimension:8.7cm x 7.4cm x 4.8cm

Description: A tripod bronze censer was in archaic Ding-type. Preserved rarely with original bronze water chestnut shaped stand and bronze reticulated and simplified Baosan typed cover, the censer was reserved with darkened patina. It was a small and elegant bronze censer which was used by accompanying with the ancient Chinese instrument Qin when it was playing. The bronze censer was therefor called as Qin censer...

Description: A white jade pendant was carved as a Chinese characters-Suan Xi( double joys). In another good metaphor, a bat-Fu(good fortune) was carved on top of the word. A Karatsu style shuhai sake cup with cream glaze decorated inside and out by the Zen Priest Nakahara Nantenbo, a priest who was instrumental in reviving the Zen tradition in the beginning of the 20th century. Circling the circumference is a seven character inscription, the first six reading Kaisei Fugetsu O Kan, the last we have not been able to read...

Description: A lavender-tinted Jun bowl was shaped with straight wall. Before applying the random strokes of purple splashes, one on the outer wall and another at the inner side, the ancient potter must had been dipping the bowl in the glaze so swiftly as to leaving the body in the cavetto partially unglazed like the bottom side. By intentional purpose of the potter’s ingenuity or just a simple missed work, the well-molded bowl was therefore full of rustic joy of strong Zen spirits...

Description: A white-glazed Bowl of Ming dynasty was from sea wreckage. Kept though in perfect condition, the outer surface was partially loss of glaze and left with some yellowish incursion. Some adhesives were reserved at the foot ring. The bowl rings well when tapping by fingers. Date: Ming Dynasty(AD1368-1644), Width: 14.8cm, Height: 6.8cm. Provenance: Jindezheng, Jiangxi Province

This bell is approximately 200 years old and was used on the camels crossing Tibet, NW China into Mongolia. It would be worn on a strap and hang loose below the camels belly between the legs. A light shake and the sound is deep and long. The bell in picture is 13" long and has a leather wrapped handle.

A humorous looking dragon twists up the paper canvas, eyes on the prize, a tama or Buddhist jewel underlying a dramatically written inscription. What is extraordinary is that the dragons scaled body is performed with a single stroke of the brush! Over this has been added a shadow for the back, and embellishment of the head. It is signed Fujiki Shuchokusai, and comes enclosed in the original signed and age darkened wooden box...

Oribe Green runs in a curtain over the pale yellow glaze of this Edo period andon-zara oil dish. It is unglazed on bottom, measuring 8 inches (20 cm) diameter and in excellent condition, enclosed in a custom kiri-wood box.

Description: A big Qingbai bowl was elegantly carved with motifs of dancing boys amid scrolled cloud. Believed as being a product from famed Hutien kiln of Jiangxi province of 9-12th century, the bowl was in pale blue tint and was in very good condition except one faint hairline at the cavetto(about 6.5cm that in half way to the cavetto). It was almost invisible without reminding. The bowl was believed to have been highly esteemed for its once framed mouth rim...

What a fantastic expression worn by this Edo p. Seto Hand warmer (hibachi or properly Shuro/ Te-abure). The dark shiny Seto glaze suits well the beast portrayed. Coals would have been burned inside, heating the surrounding pottery walls, and the piece would have been placed on a step leading into the house for guests to warm their hands on or used within the house in a more formal room. It is 13 inches (33 cm) long and is in fine condition overall...
