Crown topped heart-shaped figural buckle of an entwined Dragon and Serpent. Dragon holds a prong set pearl in his mouth and has a green cut stone set as his eye, which appears to be a Peridot. The Serpent has a red cut stone set as his eye, which appears to be a Ruby. Magnificent white and silver champleve' enamel on sterling necklace and earrings by Margot De Taxco c. 1950. The necklace measures 14 1/2" end to end and the trapezoid shaped links are 1" wide. The necklace is in fine original condition with no chips or cracks to the enamel and no missing enamel. The earrings have been expertly converted from screwbacks to posts and do retain the Margo hallmark. The enamel has no chips or cracks and none missing. Japanese cloisonne vase decorated with two cattleya orchids set against a green ground. The interior counter enamel is black and the rims are chrome. A Qing dynasty Yongzheng - Qianlong blue and white Yongle style large dish, rounded side with deep center and unglazed base, dish decorated with under glaze blue of Ming Yongle style continuous joining flower scroll motif of lotus, peony, camellia, rose, and chrysanthemum motif, repeated motif at center and the exterior.
Dish in good condition with damage at the rim re-attach / restored, no missing part, still very beautiful for display.

A unique piece of zitan wood used as a sample for the scholar's woodworker. This piece is unusual as it shows a very light color of the zitan wood which is probably close to the bark area. There are two holes drilled in the piece for attaching a string for hanging. This piece weighs 550 grams. This is a great item for the zitan collector. Size: L.17.3cm. W.10.3cm. H.2.4cm. Seldom found on today's collectible market, this all-original, Mayo’s Cut Plug Tobacco Roly Poly Mammy Tin dates to circa 1912.

In 1912, in a stroke of advertising genius, Mayo's Tobacco Company packaged their cut plug tobacco in round tins with a lithographed character. Each held 1 pound of tobacco. The tins were opened by removing the head!

These "Roly-Polys" were a unique shape that distinguished them from the rectangular and lunch box-shaped tins that surrounded them on store shelves...
