A Ming dynasty 16th century Jiajing period polychrome saucer dish, decorated at the interior with reversed green of flower branch medallion in the center and diaper pattern around mouth rim. The amethyst comma necklace is one of the most recognizable of Antonio Pineda's works of art. The silver is 970 and silky to the hand. This Matl design is very well executed and signed ME-O2 after 1980. The turquoise has warmed with time and the birds are really quite lovely. Taller Taxco remains one of the mysteries that haunt our knowledge about maestros and workshops in Taxco's golden age. All their pieces that I have had have been high quality emulations of Salvador Teran's designs and the fact that their numbering system and a specific symbol they use in their hallmarks resembles Teran's own marks has created the idea that the two are somehow associated. Rectangular composite panel of antique embroideries from the Ottoman Empire. The basic fabrics are different plain weaves, embroidered with silk and few metal wrapped threads, composed and sewn together in the Ottoman city of Salonika or Kavala.
