A finely decorated Vietnamese blue and white porcelain bowl. Thinly potted and with a crackled glaze over blue and white aquatic decoration suggesting waves on the bowl's exterior, a conch shell inside the cavetto and surrounded by a variety of blossoming flowers among grasses. Good condition with expected wear including a couple minor chips inside the foot rim and light abrasion inside the bowl. Diameter at widest point 6 1/8 inches (15.56cm). An unusual and interesting straw glazed porcelaneous incense burner. The three footed bombe censer with barbed, loop handles on opposite sides along the waist flaring to a broad rim. A rare 19th or early 20th century Malayan kris with an attractive pamir/pamor steel blade. The hilt has a (probably replacement) metal collar and a finely carved Garuda head in "kingfisher" form. The wood scabbard is decorated with engraved Straits Chinese style white metal bands depicting Buddhist emblems. There are old losses to the 'flared' top of the scabbard and the left 'ear' of the Garuda head is missing. Unusually there is no damage to the 'nose'. The old blade is in very good condition...
