It was well glazed in moon-white tint when subtle green glaze was reflected within.
Some crackles were yielded in the glaze due to enduring time.
Some incursions were happened too.

Not much is known about Gerardo Lopez yet his jewelry bespeaks the man's talent, exceptional craftsmanship and the pride he must have taken in his creations. LAYAWAY AVAILABLE This stone is a Mexican boulder opal which is scattered with the naturally occurring quartz. The opal appears to open up whole worlds within it's fiery windows. Marked 14kt and being 1 3/8th inches tall this ring is heavy and huge. The width is just a tad over one inch. The mounting resembles sponge coral with the 6 pearls seated within the coral. Obviously based on Matilde Poulat's "moth" design, an early Deco silver and turquoise ring that could hail from Mexico City yet it's difficult to say since it's unmarked...

Early Sigi Pineda combination pin/pendant necklace from the first years of his independent career, when his taller was still called "Plateros". Nested in a biomorphic concave "shell", the minimalist figure of a man playing a green stone drum (at least to my eyes) hangs from a tube link chain. The work has Sigi's abstract design signature and exudes a raw animism that catches the eye and the imagination...

With a carved and combed decoration of two fish in the waves, symbol of abundance. Diameter 17,7 cm, H. 5 cm. Very good condition with light age wear inside the bowl. Song dynasty (960-1279).

With a moulded flower decoration. Diameter 12,3 cm, H. 4,5 cm. Nice blue color, possibly from the Hutian kilns. Excellent condition with age cracks in the glaze and some light wear in the bowl. Yuan dynasty (1279-1368)

Undoubtedly inspired by Margot de Taxco's Koi Fish line, a pair of early Antonio Reina repousse earrings showing playful fish among stylized silver waves. I can't get over the detail in this set - just note the depth of the repoussage, the detail in the scales and the hand-hammering in the waves themselves to render them three-dimensional. The earrings are 1 5/8" long by 15/16" wide and weigh 8.4 grams (for the set)...
