Here is a splendid, very feminine necklace which drapes beautifully over the collarbones. It is made from an unusual hue of rose gold – closer to red than I’m used to seeing in antique jewelry. Spectacular design and execution in this sterling and coral belt buckle by Santo Domingo silversmith Julian Lovato. He began working in 1938 and was a silversmith for Frank Patania Sr. in the Thunderbird Shop. He has been the winner of numerous awards for his fine creations. These magnificent 19th century Victorian earrings feature lovely Etruscan Revival gold scrollwork around intricately crafted pietre dure centers. The inlaid stone creates the image of three delicate flowers springing from a single stem. An Edwardian diamond and pearl ring set in 14Kt yellow gold and decorated by two old-miner diamonds with I color and SI2 clarity and the approximate total weight of 0.70Ct. The side stones consist of two single cut diamonds and twenty-four rose diamonds will bring the estimated total diamond weight to 0.80Ct. The ring is further decorated by a larger 5mm oriental pearl and two smaller 3mm pearls. The smaller pearls may be oriental pearls as well. The top of the ring measures 13/16” X ½”.
A rather rare, very romantic Margot de Taxco creation from her "roses" period this charm bracelet has nine beautifully cast figural dangles, each one in the form of a chubby little cherub, many playing musical instruments.
