These elegant earrings by Antonio Pineda have a great modernist design with their gorgeous combination of silver and deep Black Onyx stones. They measure 1/2" X 1/2" and together they weigh 12.2 grams. Hallmarked on both earrings with the Antonio Taxco crown they are in good vintage condition with minor age related wear and tarnish and the screw backs are in good working order. Wedgwood blue jasper ware bead pendant. Jasper ware, invented and introduced by Josiah W in the late 18th century, was a success in the neoclassical period around 1800.The extremely finely moulded white ornaments are fixed to unglazed blue stoneware to create a carved cameo effect. The bead is Georgian, from the last years of the 18th century, whereas the silver gilt chain is later, c 1900. It is stamped Sterling and has a Swedish import mark (three crowns in an oval and an S)...

Wonderful post modern hand made sterling and gold ring by Novak, c. 1970's. Of very large dimension, the design shows a soaring bird with a gold head flying high above the band. The gold is directly soldered to the silver. The wing span measures 1 7/8" wide and stands 1" above the band and is size 8 1/4. A vintage sterling silver neck ring by American Modernist jeweler, Ronald Hayes Pearson with a lightly hammered texture. The arms gracefully slope towards the front.

Period art nouveau dimensional sterling clip showing the beautiful profile of a woman's head with flowing hair and flowers. Small, it measures 3/4"long by 1/2"wide. The front of the clip with the art nouveau design and the clip mechanism itself are in excellent condition but there is a a few scratches on the back on the word "STERLING"(see photo). Based on one of Spratling's early designs, this "ring with three cascabeles" was also made in Taxco and wrought in high purity, .980 silver. I believe the motif is the same here as that in the renowned maestro’s tortoise shell and silver "snake" box - the more I look at it, the more I think of writhing serpents with spotted skins. And having sold Spratling’s original in the past, I can assure you the ring at hand is a worthy, very well made alternative...

A nicely cast sterling silver band of nautilus shells surrounds an oval, semi-translucent piece of gorgeous carnelian in this Arts and Crafts brooch presented here. I have had this piece for a little while and was reluctant to part with it because of its tactile beauty, its warm patina and the color of the stone that brings to mind warm, aromatic caramel. I am assuming this is a native, US-made brooch because it is simply marked for metal quality and I suspect it is a studio-made pin...

This pendant displays a great example of Danish silver jewelry. The artist is Erik Dennung and the piece is manufactured by Buch and Deichmann. Its diameter is 2 1/2". The Scandinavian, abstract, brutalist design sits within a concave disk, of sorts, and is 1/2" in height. This piece has a cool Modernist design and weighs 70 grams - 2 1/2 ounces. It is in excellent condition. The back is marked with the Buch & Deichmann manufacturer's mark (B + D below a circle, flanked by 2 vertical lines)...

Each earring is composed of two trapezoidal pieces linked by a squared U-shaped wire. The screw backs are original and in good working order. The backs indicate sterling and bear the mark of modernist designer Paul Lobel. The earrings show very few signs of wear. They measure 1 ¾ inches long by 1/2 inch at the widest part.
