A lithograph print of a typical northern New Mexican adobe house of the Santa Fe and Taos region, signed in the plate at lower center with what appears as "J Hill" and dated nearby 48. The black and white image measures 6 1/4" by 9 1/4" inside the mat, 15" by 17 1/2" in simple black wood strip frame. Not examined out of frame but appears very clean and fresh. I have not been able to locate a listed artist by this name that would correspond to this work.

Lithograph on paper, 22 1/4" by 25 7/8" inside the mat (30" by 23" as framed), signed in pencil at lower right and numbered 47/180 at lower left, by important 20th century Spanish artist EMILIO GRAU-SALA (1911-1975). This is an apparently clean example (not examined out of frame) of the lithography of this major European artist, the paintings of whom command well into five figures at auctions in Europe and the USA...

This is an image of the original W/C which was painted several years back some early summer. The scene is quite different than the one seen in the national news coverage of the Mother's Day flood 2006 extensive and serious flooding of this Methuen MA river dam. Today, the 140+ year old granite structure appears to be holding steady. A funny side note: 2 foot carp were found swimming in the then flooded playing field nearby! PS...

The unframed print measures 17 1/2" by 12 1/4". Paper is heavily browned with age, though evenly so; there is some discoloration in margins, and lower left corner is a bit bent. Frame with fresh mat and the margin issues disappear and you have a solid etching of Sacre Coeur...

Collectors of fine botanical prints know that the works of Doctor "Doc" Thornton are among the finest of the fine, their technical complexity surpassing virtually all other efforts over the centuries. He was educated at Cambridge and inherited a family fortune, but dissipated it in the course of his heroic effort to produce a landmark series of botanical prints...

A true lithograph, possibly titled "Litografia VI", 9 1/2" by 12 1/2" inside the mat, 12 1/2" by 15 1/2" including the mat, unframed, by the famous Spanish modern artist who needs little introduction, JOAN MIRO (1893-1983). I do not know when this was produced or if the edition was limited. The mat is permanently glued down over the work, which is also apparently permanently affixed to the foamboard backing. Colors are very bright. Simply frame this and you will be making a smashing modern a...
