This is an antique painting of a rose in a tall glass vase, 13 1/2" by 5 3/8" framed, unsigned, circa 1900. Found in Rockland, Maine. The work, being of an unusual shape, might be that perfect addition to your narrow little space. There is wear on frame and the painting has even light soiling consistent with its age.

John Sloan 1871-1951 American This is an original etching by American Ash Can School artist John Sloan. The title is: Boys Sledding, it was created and printed in 1920 in an edition of 100. This impression is hand signed in pencil, titled and annotated a "100 Proofs in the lower border. The image mesures 5 1/4X6 15/16 inches. Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet, with tack holes where the artist held the sheet down to dry. Very fine condition.

A landscape painting with feathery trees silhouetted against a luminous sky, a female figure walking at right with brown cow on the path which borders a creek, signed illegibly at lower right and dated there 1852. This green and yellow bitter melon shape overlay glass snuff bottle is 2 ½ inches tall and 1 ¾ inches wide. It depicts a grasshopper landing on a Chinese bitter melon plant; a moth (or butterfly) is flying around a flower. The workmanship is great and the idea to make the bottle like a melon definitely makes it interesting.

Very old small pencil drawing of a town scene, 3 1/2" by 3 5/8" (11 1/2" by 10" framed), unsigned, and the artist and origin unknown. It is simply an antique drawing. Someone thought enough of it to have a hand-drawn ornate mat on gray-blue paper. A church tower appears at center and a tree at left, and two tiny figures at lower right. There is a mysterious red circle stamped on the reverse; difficult to say if it may be a collector's stamp.
