Twelve pairs of Japanese-made roller caps for Japanese Hanging scrolls, 9 Bu (9分about 2.73 mm) in diameter. Japanese scroll roller ends follow the old measuring system- shakkanhō (尺貫法). These fit 9 Bu size- please measure diameter of the roller bar with calipers. Material: white sandalwood, Santalum album (Byakudan 白檀) Size: 9 Bu (9分about 2.73mm) Date of manufacture: most likely Shōwa Period, 1980s. Wood is still emitting pleasant aroma. New, never used...

A vintage tropical wood scoop, 11" by 3" approximately, circa 1970's, bearing the old label of the well-known purveyor of Hawaiian theme goods, Kealakekua's Grass Shack of Kailua-Kona on the Big Island. On base of handle is carved by hand "MANGO IND PARK". The piece is hand-crafted and the wood shows a beautiful grain in the bowl area. Label has a little wear. Could hold nuts or candies on a table, so, utilitarian as well as decorative--stands upright on its own; well-balanced.
