This mid 20th century carved ivory netsuke of a sumo wrestler is 2 ¼” high, 1 ¼” wide and 1” thick. It depicts a sumo wrestler dressed the traditional outfit staring straight ahead, ready to fight. The expression on his face is just great. The signature “Yoshido” is on his left foot. Aside of some color that has been rubbed off, it is in excellent condition.

Chinese Bamboo woven Food Basket with Bamboo handle, 19" high with handle, 13 1/2" x 7 1/2" wide, made later part of 1800's to early part of 1900's, with three(3) tiered compartments. Some of the Brass decorative buttons are missing. Bottom of the handles on both sides have carved Monogram "S" and very fine Bamboo weaving with many detailed different patterns on the entire surface.

Japanese satsuma vase with a textured bark underglaze, with the image of a large, striking dragon in green and red enamel, outlined in gilt wire. The bottom is outlined with geometric enamel patterns, and the top near the mouth has cherry blossoms and vines in enamel.

Pair of Korean black lacquer over brass vases with mother-of-pearl inlay. The brass is re-purposed from unused artillery shells and the vases are heavier than one would expect. One of the rim looks a little irregular, but the were purchased in Japan, as is, in the first half of the 20th Century. They measure about 7 inches high.

Healthy Japanese babies adorn this bright red juban. Made of light weight silk with equally light weight white silk lining, this woman's juban measures 48" across the shoulders (including sleeves) and 50" long. In very good condition, it dates early Showa, 1930, though the collar appears to be newer. This is a very cheerful under garment and would be a fun piece to wear as an outer garment.
Basket made of bark of hiba, a family of the Japanese cypress. It is used by a mountain worker, and tools, lunch or collected mushrooms are put in. In good condition except for a few breaks in the rim. The first half of the 20th century. W:28cm H:31cm

Pair of lacquered wooden panels inlaid with jade and soapstone. The first is decorated with antiques, the second with foliage and birds. The sculptures are of very good quality. The wooden frames as well as the lacquered backs are late 20th century but we believe that parts were recovered from older broken furniture and were reused here, as can be seen with the small wooden panels decorated with bats and mother-of-pearl inlays that are 19th century or earlier...
A Zohiko covered rice bowl. Colorful leaf decoration sparsely applied on black ground with almost iridescent effect with gold and silver maki-e and red details. Zohiko mark in gold lacquer inside the bowl's foot rim. 20th century. Bowl diameter 5 1/16 inches (12.86 cm). The bowl has two small losses to the lacquer along the foot and one small loss to the rim. The cover is in good condition. The lacquer otherwise being in good condition with no distress or wear of note...
An interesting square porcelain brush pot with a long inscription of the Chu Shi Biao composed by the 3rd century strategist, Zhuge Liang. The inscription makes the argument that the state of Shu Han must fight against Cao Wei. The calligrapher at the end signs and dates the piece: The 23rd Year of Kangxi, (inscribed by) Wen Fang. Set of 6 (1930's) Chinese Sterling Silver Tea Cup & Saucer with Melon & Butterfly Marked
The dish is 0.6 inch (1.5 cm) tall by 2.95 inches (7.5 cm) wide. The cup is 1.4 inches (3.5 cm) tall by 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) wide. The total weight is 369 gram.
They have tarnished silver and surface scratches. One cup has minor bent at the side. Two of the cups have bent at the bottom (as seen in the photos).

Very small shrine holding the figure of Dakiniten riding a white (or silver) fox. Dakiniten is worshiped at the Toyokawa Inari temples. The zushi is on the inside encased behind a glass pane, surrounded by painted treasure symbols. These kind of zushi are sold at the temple to the patrons and other visitors. Polychromed wood with abundant gold and silver Japan, dated Taisho 13 (1924).

Antique Japanese Doll by Kyoko: Dancing Sanbaso Ningyo Doll. This gorgeous doll with a face of Ichimatsu ningyo (doll) is approximately 18 inches tall on a 3/4 inch stand. The dimension of the stand is 13 inches x 10 inches x 3/4 inches. The crane is hand painted on the fabric. There are some fabric damages on the left side of her upper kimono (cloth) as shown.
