Japanese Imari Porcelain Leaf Shape dish, late Meiji or early Showa, 1940, 6 1/4" x 6 1/2" wide, 3/4" high, very simple beautifully overglaze enamel Japanese Garden, Plum trees in early spring, Irish in summer, Chrysanthemum flowers in fall and Bamboo in winter, 4 seasons design above broad leaf on the bottom. The condition is good.

A large pair of decorative vases painted with a pattern of stylised peonies in underglaze blue and gilt set against an iron red ground. The vases are of compressed mallet shaped form with wasted body and flared mouth, a form used at the Fukugawa factory from the late 19th century onwards. Probably early 20th century in date. The vases weigh respectively 2.152kg and 2.016kg and stand 29cmand 28.7cm high...

Fukagawa Japanese porcelain small square plate with enamel decoration of blooming medow grasses and flowers. Beautiful piece in Japanese taste, excellent quality painting, skilled use of gold and multicolored enamels, in perfect condition. Marked in blue enamel on the bottom with a mountain and inscribed FUKAGAWA TSUKURU (made in Fukagawa). Size 4 7/8 inches square.

Three cups and saucer trays by Noritake, Japan, mid 50’s. Saucers shaped like water lily leaves – a modernist design also reminding of the painter’s palette shape so much in vogue in the 50’s in ceramics, jewelry, teak wood and more. The cups to fit at one side, in order to allow for a sandwich or some biscuits. The back with the N and ribbon mark in use from 1953. Width of saucers "9 ½ / 24 cm, height of cups "2 2/3 / 6.8 cm. Condition: fine.

Japanese Late 20th Century (1995) porcelain charger by master ceramicist, Ono Hakuko (1925-1996). The charger has the design of fern leaves and blossoms done in Ono Hakuko's signature style with gold leaf underglaze. The charger is signed "Haku" on the bottom. The charger comes with TOMOBAKO, or original wooden artist signed storage box. The box is also signed by Ono Hakuko's son, Ono Jiro. It also comes with TOMOGIRE, or original artist stamped wrapping cloth...

A Fukagawa Seiji 9-3/4" tree peony Japan porcelain vase from the 1900-20 era. This large and wonderful high-quality Japanese porcelain vase has orange and blue tree peony flowers with yellow and white applied jewelling and gold highlights. It is in a myriad of blue colours with subtle gradations and shading and it has a gold rim and gold leaf veins. It has the Mt. Fuji mark used from 1900-20 and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs...

A rare commemorative white porcelain cup produced by the Fukagawa Arita Company (purveyors to the Imperial Family) inscribed in gold with “A toast to Prince Akihito & Princess Michiko 1959.” The rim is gilt and below it is the gold Japanese Imperial Chrysanthemum Seal. The chrysanthemum flower is also the symbol of Japan and of longevity and rejuvenation...

Japanese Kutani Porcelain Plate, Ca. 1930, 8 1/2" diameter, with orange red overglaze design of pair of birds in the lake and highlighted in brilliant gold decoration, red mark on the bottom. The condition is good, some gilt decorations are worn on some areas, no damages.

Shonsui style decoration in roundels of birds in branches with berries and of peonies, all centered by geometric decoration along the inside of the foliate rim. The interior with bird perched on a peony stem, the cavetto with band of repeating diamond pattern. The back glazed green over black karakusa. The bottom yellow with black mark under a square green glazed reserve...
