This hanging scroll of Yang Yuhuan, a Tang Dynasty Royal Consort, as attributed to Fu Baoshi (1904-1965), is both rare and skilfully executed. Its painting subject is based upon the of-quoted love story between Li Longji, the Tang Emperor Xuanzong, and his royal consort and soul-mate, Yang Yuhuan.
The painting portrays Yang, before ascending to Heave on her white horse, awaits to see her lover Emperor Xuanzong the last time. She looks beautiful but terribly sad...

The frog is known for beckoning wealth. Later, in China and Japan, the combination of Liu Hai and the frog became the symbol of fortune and wealth. Republic period, circa 1950, carved jade miniature of a sage pinching it's ear lobe. The jade stone is shaped like a pebble. There are two medallions on the top of the shoulders of the stone. It measures 1.5" by 1.5" by .6".
This is a beautiful blue and white medium size brush or joss stick stand. It is decorated with the character “shou” meaning long life in the centre, with two kui dragon with split tails to the left and right of “shou” character, and scrolling foliage all over. The sides is decorated with lotus flower and below it is a ruyi head amidst scrolling foliage. The blue and white brush or joss stick stand has a honorific Qianglong seal mark but is from the early 20th century...

This child's hat was hand-embroidered by Uzbek women living in northern Afghanistan. Depicting traditional patterns in vivid pink, green, bergundy and purple, it measures 6 inches (15.2 cm) in diameter and 18½ inches (47 cm) in circumference. The width is 2¾"(7 cm). Long and short stitch are solidly worked in wool thread and reinforced with machine stitching on a cotton base. Condition is excellent on the exterior, with some fraying in the interior. Its estimated age is late 20th century...
Japanese glass ojime in a form of tombodama bead with pink body and twisted ribbons forming a brocade pattern. Tombodama can be translated as “dragonfly ball” and the name is thought to come about because when the molten glass is applied to the core bead it resembles a dragonfly’s eye.
