Japanese Showa period apple form wireless cloisonne (musen-jippo) cabinet vase decorated with a snow-covered Mt. Fuji surrounded by clouds set against a pale blue-gray sky. Unidentified mark to base. Mid-20th century. 3 3/4” high. Very good overall condition. From a Prescott, Arizona collection.

A fine and large stoneware dish by Sakuma Totaro (1900~1979). Decorated with a flowering plum tree against an oatmeal coloured ground. The back is plain and glazed with a clear transparent ash glaze.

The original wood storage box (tomobako) lid is inscribed in ink "Mashiko decorative dish with plum in iron oxide", the signature of the potter with his red seal.

This is a wonderful vintage Japanese Raku style tea cup of Ohi ware, which was made about 50-60 years ago. The seal of 'Ohi' is stamped on the bottom. This tea cup has an amazing amber glaze.

The original wooden box is also included.

Ohi ware has become well known for its use of Ame-gusuri, or amber glaze. Being a Raku style, it was low-fired and is quite light and soft in the hands...

This very nice Chinese seal stone carving of a seated merchant is a mid 20th century product. It depicts a well dressed merchant sitting comfortably while holding a bag on his shoulder. He has an engaging smile on his face. It is 2 3/8” high, 1 ¾” wide and 1” thick. It is in excellent condition.

Vintage Japanese Showa period ink and color on paper scrolled painting of trees by Uda Tekison (1896-1980). The black ink signature and red artist’s “Tazen” seal are at the lower right. Japanese mid-century sosaku hanga woodblock print depicting a horse in a stable by Kiyoshi Saito (1907-1997). Signed in black ink at the lower left and with the artist's red seal above. Unlimited edition dating circa 1960. Paper size: 11 1/2" x 17 1/8" (image: 10 1/8" x just over 15"). The print was never framed and is in very good overall condition and color with full margins. There is some waviness to the paper and a couple of the margin corners have creases.
