This porcelain and silver tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Freidrich Deusch silver company circa 1950. The set retains its original paper labels which cover the porcelain blank mark. The saucer is 6 inches in diameter and the cup is 2 inches high. A delightful design of hand painted birds and flowers is outlined in silver. It is a rare and desirable set to find. This Palissy Ware center or serving piece has 3 clam styled bowls for serving condiments or food. They have a Jun Yao style of coloring of mottled blue and green with dabs of purple in the interior; outer walls are painted with ochre streaks. The body is encrusted with shells and bocage evoking colorful visions of the sea.

Underside is marked Made in Portugal 201A. We date this piece to the mid 20th century.
