I acquired this basket in England about fifteen years ago. It measures 18 3/4" across and is about 2 3/4" high. It is dusty and there is a little rim damage (see photos). I found it along with a basket (also listed in my shop) that I believe is of South American origin...

Beautiful stone ranging from typical amethyst purple to rock crystal transparent, natural lines in the material.
