This is a wonderful vintage Japanese Raku style tea cup of Ohi ware with an amazing amber glaze which was made about 50-60 years ago by Rakusai Ohi. The seal of 'Ohi' is stamped on the bottom. The original wooden box with the signature and the seal of the artist is also included.

Ohi ware has become well known for its use of Ame-gusuri, or amber glaze. Being a Raku style, it was low-fired and is quite light and soft in the hands...

A chicken heart pendant carved using motifs inspired from Shang dynasty bronzes. The top of the pendant has a mythical bird carved and the remaining section contains geometric patterns and the face of an animal on the bottom. Age: 20th century. Size: height 2.5" width 0.3" length 2.6"

Kokeshi, wooden folk toy of NE Japan. Height: 7.5". This is an example of kokeshi made in Fukushima Prefecture, other than its better known cousin of the "Tsuchiyu" tradition. This was made in 1968 at Takayu Onsen (Takayu Hot Spring) by the artisan, Shinogi Toshio, when he was 37 years old. Shinogi-san was born on September 3rd, Showa 6 (1931). A vintage sterling silver figural jigger by Alvin, the sides marked off with enameled stoplights in green, yellow and red. Each light is accompanied by the words “Go”, “Caution” and “Stop”. The bottom is hallmarked by Alvin.

No set could be more magnificent that this by Robert Clark for the House of De Lillo. Its beautiful glass stones simulate opals and they are surrounded by tiny, glistening, gray beads. The stones are the finest in quality and gold plating makes the back as lovely as the front. This set was purchased from Mr. De Lillo and was hand made by Mr. Clark to be the prototype for his limited edition of the set. It was purchased from his personal archives...

This attractive e-Shino bowl (“e†meaning picture) bears a pine-needle motif on the front surrounded by fields of dazzling ochre and white.

Elegant modern glass vase by Dino Martens is composed of white, black and aventurine rods, is 5.25" tall and in excellent condition. The "fasce bianco nero" design is well documented and mentioned in Marc Heiremans book "Dino Martens" as model #5459, page 167.

Modern design vase with incisio carved surface ia a sommerso blend that transitions from cool green to a warm golden wheat color at the base. This is the first incisio I have seen in this shape; I suspect there are not many. This vessel displays nicely with the incisio candle holders item #086. The vase has a few minor scratches but otherwise in good condition and has a three-line acid stamp: Venini Murano Italia. 3.5"h x 8"dia

Superb cut and polished sommerso form is in great condition with minor wear to the base. A wonderful example of modern design utilizing the traditional sommerso technique. The piece has 14 facets, which represent considerable skill and labor on the part of the glass cutter. It measures 6"x6"x3"h, retains evidence of its label, otherwise unmarked

A vintage sterling silver vermouth dispenser by Gorham in the form of a syringe. These were called “Martini Spikes” when sold by Gorham in the 1960s. The functioning plunger allows vermouth to be drawn up into the syringe, then dispensed in precise doses into your favorite cocktail. Marked “Gorham Sterling 429 Pat. Pend.”.

This Steuben fish has great character! It was introduced in 1961 and measures 6 7/8" long. It is Steuben number 8107.

Cylindrical decanter in light blue, pink and white 'a canne' with a matching globular stopper. Stopper has a clear glass flange and neck. Neither the stopper nor the neck of the bottle is ground. The bottle stands 17 1/2 inches tall with it's stopper (15 1/8 inches without) and is 3 1/2 inches in diameter at the base. Retains its round blue and silver Made in Murano sticker on the base. There are two small black inclusions midway up the body of the decanter, each about the size of a pinhead...

This superb rendition of a lovebirds pair resting on a crystal log surely is the work of Archimede Seguso. The colorization of the birds is achieved with fragments of blue and white opal filigrana cane, resulting in a merletto type effect which is largely Archimede Segusos signature technique. The birds' gestures, beaks, wings and tails are similar to birds depicted in Leslie Pinas' book on Archimede Seguso. The two ends of the log are nicely ground convex and polished...

This Cultural Revolution porcelain plate from Jingdezhen is decorated with an original image by the artist Liu Haihe depicting a family as the centre of revolutionary commitment. It is very skillfully and carefully painted. This plate was created during the cultural revolution and it has a mark of “Jingdezhen Art Porcelain Factory Committee” at the base. Liu Haihe (1927-) was born in Jingdezhen. He first studied art (porcelain and painting) when he was 13...

For the Horse lover in your family, this paperweight features murrines with an internal image of a horse. A very unusual find! The horse murrines are surrounded by floral murrines and the whole is encased in clear glass. The piece measures 2 1/2 inches tall and is 3 inches across, there are no chips or cracks. Whimsical Decanter by Fratelli Toso created circa 1960.

Decanter is of simple form with applied features resembling that of a sad dog, pleading coyly with upturned eyes. The clear green glass body has opaque lines running down from the top of the neck of the bottle to just below the top of the dogs ears and eyes. The dogs eyes lattimo (milk) glass with green glass pupils looking upwards...

Vintage sterling silver figural jigger in the form of a thimble. The rim is engraved "Just a thimblefull." Thimble jiggers became popular in the Victorian era and remained so through the mid-20th century. The base is hallmarked by Towle.
