Demitasse coffee can and saucer, Royal Crown Derby Imari. Red stamped mark and year code mark for 1923, the saucer with impressed mark Derby 1923. Height of can "2 / 5 cm, diameter of saucer "4/ 10.6 cm. Condition: fine.

An emerald green and silver bubbles bowl, 1950’s, unsigned, probably Italian (Murano). Width "6 / 15 cm, height "2 ¼ / 5.5 cm. Condition: one bubble larger than the others can be felt just under the lip, otherwise fine.

Two flapper dress tricot scarves, one yellow and rust (a), the other in shades of brown, blue-grey and yellow (b). Both made of atificial silk and from the Charleston era, 1920’s. Length (b) "79 / 200 cm and "66 / 168 cm. Condition: fine.

Ivorine and faux tortoise hair comb, unsigned, c 1940 or earlier. Height "5/ 12.5 cm. Condition: fine.

A mother of pearl necklace, the double-sided pendant inlaid with pieces of various shades of MOP to harmonize with the motives of a palace and a pagoda. Korean? Diameter of the pendant is "1 ¾ / 4.6 cm, length of chain "21 / 55 cm. The necklace is restrung and the present string is elastic. Condition: fine.

A pair of dress clips made of matted glass and chrome in the "industrial" or “machine” style of the 1930's. Length "3/ 7.7 cm, diameter "1/ 2.8 cm. Condition: fine.

Copper and enamel pendant, an early piece by Finnish Pentti Sarpaneva (1925-78). PS, a brother of Timo S, started out as a graphic artist. In his thirties he became a designer of jewels. The “eye” enclosed in a round or square shape is a recurrent theme in his jewelry designs. The little spikes are mobile. Another pendant with an “enamel eye” has recently been seen on the net, signed Pentti Sarpaneva and Hand Made. This pendant, however, is unsigned. Width "1 ½ / 4 cm...

A pair of satin glass vases and stands, Art Déco period, c 1920-30, the vases a pale lemon yellow, the stands octagonal, black and matted. American, probably Tiffin. Height including stands "6 / 15 cm. Condition: fine.

Mathieu Matégot basket tray, perforated sheet metal and brass. France, 1950’s. Diameter "9 / 23 cm. Condition: slight wear, consistent with age, and a few retouches to the black lacquer visible when lit at an angle (cf. pics).

A pair of small vases by Nils Kähler, Denmark, 1960’s. Stoneware, partly polished, partly glazed in olive green over carved decoration: zigzag to one vase and stripes to the other. Marked HAK for the family pottery Herman A Kähler, Nils and Denmark. Height "2 ¼ / 6 cm. Condition: fine.

Blowpipes have been used for hunting in some parts of the world, and in Western Flanders blowpipe with darts or arrows was a popular sport for about a hundred years, starting at the beginning of the 19th century. This unusual plate was made for a local Flemish blowpipe association around 1840-1850. The center of the plate shows two crossed blowpipes and three arrows and a Dutch / Flemish inscription Maatschappij (Association) Blaazersgilde (Blowers Guild) Oostende...

Number 9 in a series of 12 Fornasetti plates commissioned in the 1970’s by Martini & Rossi. Each plate depicts an item in their wine museum in Pessione, in this case the first barrel – Il Primo Tino - used for the fabrication of the famous Martini vermouth. Pessione is a village in northern Italy, not far from Torino. The back of the plate gives a contextual presentation of the plate and has the Fornasetti brush in hand mark. Diameter "9 ¼ / 23.7 cm. Condition: fine.

Elegantly line engraved vase by Tapio Wirkkala, from the Kantarelli series he made for Iittala glassworks in 1951. Kantarelli is the Finnish word for the delicious yellow mushroom, the chanterelle. Signed Tapio Wirkkala Iittala. Height "6 ¾ / 17 cm. Condition: fine.

Collection of fourteen 50’s dishes, bowls and vases most of which were made in the miniature republic of San Marino, Italy. Some with lava glaze, others leather-clad and / or sgraffito. Width "3 ½ - 8 / 9 – 20 cm. Condition: fine.

A small bird by Sabino, Paris. Marius Sabino was an Italian glass artist who moved to France in the 1920’s. Like Lalique, he worked with moulded and opalescent glass. Incised mark Sabino, Paris. Made for the French market around 1930 (later pieces intended for export were marked Sabino France). Length "2/ 5 cm. Condition: fine

Six small dessert or fruit bowls in the Splendid collection by Bohemian Moser, Karlsbad, Exquisitely diamond-cut and faceted, the border with a relief pattern in 24 carat gold. Designed in 1911, Splendid turned out to be a success in the international expositions of the time. It is still being produced and is part of royal and stately dining settings all over the world. Diameter "5 ¼ / 13 cm, height "1/ 2.7 cm. This set is probably from around 1950. Condition: three bowls with wear to the gilt.

Opaline glass and wooden framed box with geometric decoration in suprematist style, inspired by the De Stijl school and the porcelain created in Russia by Nikolai Suetin with its roots in the art of Kasimir Malevich. Late 1920’s, Dutch or Belgian, unmarked. Width including the wooden base "6 ¼ / 16 cm, height "2 1/2 / 6.3 cm. Condition: wear to the decoration (cf. pics).

Teapot, milk jug, cup and saucer, a solitaire service made by the Carl Knoll factory in Czech Carlsbad / Karlovy Vary. Cross-striped like the Victorian bathing-suits – just a coincidence or might there be a thought behind this design? Carlsbad was a fashionable 19th century spa, famous for its hot springs. Impressed mark for 1848 – 1868. Height of teapot "4 ½ / 11 cm including handle, diameter of saucer "5 ½ / 14 cm. Condition: a nick to the cup (cf. pics).
