A Pair of Porcelain Royal Worcester Candlesticks from the Aesthetic Movement, circa 1870. Each is separately enameled with Japanese fan, bird and obi (kimono sashes) motives. Dimensions; 8" high on a 4.5" circular base. Excellent condition.

A stunning Chelsea-Derby tea bowl and saucer, finely painted in puce monochrome with scattered floral sprays and sprigs, reserved on a ground of closely packed gilded spirals. The interior of the bowl is painted with a puce rose and leaves. Both pieces are marked with a gold anchor.

Condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. Minor gilding wear to the extreme rim edges. The height of the bowl is is 1 7/8", and the diameter is 3 1/8", while the saucer diameter is 5".

A superb Derby porcelain coffee can displaying a scene of two people on a hillside looking at a town in the distance. The scene is identified in blue script on the bottom as "Near Breadsall", Derbyshire" along with the pattern number 531 and the Derby crossed batons and crown mark...

Worcester Blue and White Printed Cabbage Leaf Mask Jug. The moulded body printed with bouquets of flowers. W script mark to base. C1770/5. Height 8.0" Condition: excellent, no frits, chips, cracks or restoration.

A fine Dr. Wall (First Period) Worcester pickle leaf dish in the "Pickle Leaf Vine" pattern, showing flowers and vines within a feuil-de-choix border, and with a workman's mark on the reverse. Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, paint loss, or restoration. The white areas at places along the edge are light reflections. Length 3 1/4", and width 3 1/2".

A Staffordshire punch bowl decorated with both freehand painting and the transfer of the Chinese ladies and part of the fence in the center of the bowl. The border and the four sprays that decorate the outside of the bowl are all hand painted, as is the pink lustre mountain behind the ladies. The decoration is bright and cheerful. 9 ½ inches diameter, 4 ½ inches tall.

Condition; Excellent, no chips cracks hairlines or repairs...

A large tyg with hand painted apples and leaves with green dental banding and green dashes on the three handles. The tyg, or loving cup, is a popular form for Wemyss. Marked with impressed “WEMYSS WARE” in an arch over “R.H.&S.” 7 ½ inches tall, 87/8 inch diameter at base. Handles are about 2 ¼ inches out from the body.

Condition. No chips. There are two hairline cracks extending from the rim part of the way down the body. One handle broken off and restuck...

A pottery circular flask with the center of both sides decorated with a purple transfer of a man fishing in a river across from a church. The transfer surrounded by a brown/red raised band then hand painted purple flowers, green leaves, and red buds. The mouth with a beaded edge and neck decorated in the same red/brown. 7 3/8 inches from mouth to bottom, 6 ¾ inches across.

Condition: no chips, cracks or repairs. The green enamel has flaked off in a couple of places...

Mid 19th C Staffordshire figurine of a tailor riding a goat with 2 kids in a basket. Inspired by Meissen' s Tailor of Count Bruhl figurine, the goat is carrying an iron in her mouth while the tailor is holding a small roll of material in his hand. This is of-the-period, not a reproduction, and is an excellent piece for the collector or one who values original antique Staffordshire. Measures: 5 1/8 inches high, 3 5/8' long x 2"

A very nicely painted Pratt Ware cottage decorated with a blue tiled roof, children at the windows with an oversize female standing beside it. On one end of the cottage is a woman with a cornucopia (?) and on the other a flowering tree. At the back in the roof is a slot for large pennies. The colors are well applied. Similar cottages are illustrated in John and Griselda Lewis Pratt Ware, 2006 edition page 249...

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Coalport in the 1890s. The diameter of the saucer is 3 ½ inches and the cup is 1 ¾ inches high. The set has a fluted shape with scalloped edges. The ground color is sky blue enamel. It is intricately hand gilded with raised and beaded gilding. The interior of the cup, well of the saucer and handle are coated in gold. Condition: The bottom of the cup has slight crazing in the glaze...

Wonderful Doulton Burslem pitcher trimmed with gold with lovely handpainted flowers on both the front and back. There is a fabulous gold grotesque head on the spout. It has the brown Doulton Burslem on the bottom. It measures 10" tall x 5" diameter not including the handle. This great pitcher is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.

The set is made of fine, white bone china. The cup is melon ribbed and blown out. The saucer has a scalloped rim. The ground color is rich cobalt blue. Circa 1870, brown transferware platter, Staffordshire Nanking pattern, by E. Challinor. In very good condition, there is some crazing commensurate with age and some staining, most notably on the back. Measures about 18 inches long, 14" high, and 1.5" deep. Hanger included.

A beautiful English creamware plate decorated with violet swags with green trim along the rim of the plate and the edges of the swags. Aside from being of unusual structure, the violet color is rare, and the presence of a second color extremely rare.

This type ware is often mistakenly referred to as Leeds and featheredge. In reality, many factories other than Leeds made items of this nature, and the type edge here is more properly called a molded edge.

This is a charming example of a Champion's Bristol coffee cup, of fluted form, decorated with swags of flowers and leaves. Marked on the bottom with a blue "X" and "17" painter's number. Certainly the marks add to the value of this as opposed to it being just an attributed example.

Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or restoration. Bright colors with no losses. A not uncommon 1/4" glaze separation in the bowl interior, shown in the fifth picture at around 7 o'clock, and a minute flea...

In referring to certain types of pottery, "Leeds" and "featheredge" are both common misnomers. People think of certain types of Staffordshire pottery as being Leeds while in actuality only a small portion was made by that factory.
