A rare porcelain tea bowl and saucer painted with the "bird on the branch" pattern in under glaze blue and decorated with over glaze iron red and gold in imitation of "Chinese Imari" style...

2 piece printed and hand colored Mason’s ironstone strainer dish c. 1840 A twelve sided shallow strainer that sits on a twelve sided bowl. The strainer form in delft is sometimes referred to as a cress bowl or a strawberry bowl. It’s possible that this one was meant to hold ice in the bottom as well as catch the water running off the fruit in the strainer. Decorated with a transfer of an exotic bird sitting on a branch with large blossoms and leaves...

A beautiful example of a large Scratch Cross period Worcester tankard of spreading base form with a double groove strap handle. The pattern is "The Zig-Zag Fence", and is the first in a long series of Worcester fence patterns. The particular speciman offered here, with its single line mark, would be early in the c1751 to 1755 period in which this pattern was made. The expected blue workman's mark is on the base.

Condition is excellent, with no cracks, scratches, or chips...

These porcelain plates were produced in England in the first half of the 19th century. We attribute them to Coalport. They are 9 3/8 inches in diameter. The decoration is copied from French Sevres factory. There are two types of hummingbirds that are beautifully hand painted. The representation is true to the species of hummingbird. Each plate has a wide, celeste blue enameled border. There is ornate raised gold trim with enamel jeweled accents...

A wonderful example of a creamware dish made by Sewell and Donkin of Newcastle (St. Anthony's until 1819). The painted central scene shows a dying patient receiving his unction above the motto "T Oliesel" (Last Rites), and is surrounded with a colorful floral border. The reverse of the dish has the partial impressed manufacturer's name.

The condition of this 10" diameter piece is excellent, with good color, no cracks, chips, or restoration...

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Brown, Westhead & Moore in the 1890s. It was produced just at the time the company name was changing to Cauldon, so both names are on the back stamp. The painting is signed by the renowned artist Anton Boullemiere. The plate has a diameter of 9 1/2 inches. It is made of fine, white bone china. The rim has a molded, rococo border. The plate has molded ridges radiating out towards the rim. The ground color is cream with a high gloss glaze...

A spectacular Chelsea porcelain covered porringer. This wonderful piece is profusely decorated, even on the inside of the bowl, with butterflies, moths, other insects, and flowers. A veritable rainbow of colors was used in the enameling. The finial on the lid is a naturalistically molded rose with hues of reds and pinks, and the handles are painted with a distinct bluish green...

Englisn Staffordshire Transferware Pottery Plate, Ca. 1850, 9 3/8" diameter, deers and cow resting under the big tree, and Cathedral in the far background, marked "Park Scenery, Phillips, Longport", glaze crackled, some mild stains on the back top area, no damages.

A group of three Staffordshire plates. The first a small (6 ½ inch diameter) pearlware plate with good handpainted roses and a solid colored border with lines and dots. The second plate (8 3/8 inches diameter) also pearlware handpainted with a border of small roses, leaves and ovals over two lines. The third a ceramic plate with a shaped edge (10 1/8 inches diameter) with a very bold free hand painted single Adam’s rose dominating most of the area...

A very nice pair of Staffordshire spaniels highlighted with gilt decoration. Each dog wears a collar with a padlock and a chain. The muzzles are decorated with pink and black overglaze enamel, and the eyes are set with glass eyes. Both have the whimsical "Joan Crawford" eyebrows. Spaniels with glass eyes, although a bit later than some of the other Staffordshire figures, are difficult to find.

Four(4) English Mintons Porcelain Salad Plates, 9" diameter, 7/8" high, high quality brilliant etched raised gold border on top of the Cobalt blue wider border. Impressed mark and purple "Mintons Est. 1793 England" in purple, "g6262" in red on the bottom. The condition is very good, no damages.

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Copeland between 1851 and 1885. It measures 8 3/4 inches in diameter. The plate is made of fine bone china. The celeste blue rim is reticulated. The center of the plate is hand painted with floral bouquets and colorful swags of flowers. The painting is delicate and detailed. There are gilded accents and trim around the rim. A beautiful Flight Barr and Barr large sauce tureen from the Harlequin service. Two sides of the tureen have an exotic bird painted, by Henry Stinton, in a central reserve which is surrounded by a white field edged with gilded rococo scrollwork. The remainder of the body is a sky blue decorated with insects. The lid of this piece has a gold pineapple finial while the body has a gadrooned rim and handles, all in gold.
