Although not marked, this art glass piece bears the styling and quality of Victorian pieces made by the Stevens and Williams Ltd of England and in the 1870s under the direction of John Northwood (son Harry Northwood was a glass maker in America). The body is an oval pill-shaped translucent light turquoise glass with an open oval top that is bordered with a scalloped ribbon crest. At each narrow end is a small applique of amber glass. The piece is also supported with four pinched amber glass feet...

Probably the nicest cut glass pitcher I've every seen! This pitcher, which is unbelievable heavy, has a wide rim that is Gorham sterling with beautiful flowers on it. It is engraved "Presented to Benjamin L. Stowe, Vice President of Eureka Fire Hose Company by his fellow officers and employees of the Company upon his 50th birthday anniversary, February 18, 1898...

Offered are these two beautiful, hand-painted Victorian glass ewers. The amber-colored thumbprint jug is 8 3/4 inches tall and 6 3/4 inches wide. The Mary Gregory one is 8 inches tall and 7 inches wide. Both ewers were blown (has pontil-bottoms - see last two pictures) and are without chips, cracks or repairs. Both jugs fluoresce a gentle green when exposed to long-wavelength black-light, showing that they are made of late 19th century soda-lime glass blanks.

A rare form of slag glass, this late 19th century example is richly marbled throughout. It rests on a round foot which rises on a stem supporting a tiered crown for the straight paneled bowl. This specimen is in outstanding condition and retains its identification tag from its original collector.

Three Steuben articles (2 vases and a covered jar) in ivory, amethyst and blue-with-alabaster. The following are the details:Ivory vase is 7 1/2 inches tall and 6 1/2 inches wide; amethyst vase is 5 inches high and 4 inches wide; the covered jar is 12 1/4 inches high and 5 inches wide (tiny flea-bite on top of lid - see last picture). Unsigned, but in standard Steuben shapes.

A group of 5 Victorian hand etched cordial liquer or wine glasses. Dating to the mid-to-late 19th century, these 4-7/8" tall glasses were hand made from three pieces (bowl, foot and stem) which was typical of the era. Fine Bohemian green-to-clear cut glass Biedermeier footed spa beaker ("spaglas") featuring five panels, each beautifully engraved with Classical symbols. Very rare, dating circa 1820, American cut lead crystal wash basin and water pitcher set. Possibly by Bakewell Glass of Pittsburgh, the set is in excellent condition, no chips, no cracks, no repairs. The bowl measures 7.5" high x 16.25 diameter. The pitcher measures 12.5 inches high.

A wonderfully colored Wheeling Peachblow (AKA Coral) stick vase shown in the Hobbs, Brockunier and Co. Catalog as a #12 vase. The vase is in the glossy finish and measures 8 7/8 inches tall.

An exceptional and rare cameo glass bride basket on quadruple silver plate stand. The rose colored cameo is striking and as fresh today as it was c. 1880 when it was first created. The glass was produced by Mt Washington while the silverplate was produced by Pairpoint and is so marked. The basket handle uses a branch and leaf motif with the latter being applied over the former. The basket well is reticulated, the base having swirls and leaves, all standing on 4 feet...

24054902 A satin finish Wheeling peachblow number 13 stick vase in a lustreless finish by Hobbs, Brockunier & Co. of Wheeling, WV. The vase is 8 ½ inches tall and 3 1/4 inches in diameter. There are no imperfections.

This is a beautiful Steuben jade glass decorated with acid cut-back floral motif. The heavy vase is approximately 9 1/2 inches tall, 6 inches wide and 3 inches deep. Except for a tiny spot on the top rim that was probably caused during fabrication and a couple of minor chips to the raised decor (see last two pictures), the vase is in very good condition. Like typical Steuben acid cut-back objects, the vase is unsigned - but it is guaranteed to have been made by Steuben...

This is a really nice depression glass green Bowknot 3 3/4 inch diameter low footed sherbet dish made by the Belmont Tumbler Company in the 1920s. This sherbet can be hard to find. A goblet, presumed to be made by Riverside Glass Works as early as 1906 as pattern number 593. It has a caramel color, not a common find.

Please be aware that this pattern is known by several names such as Old English Colonial, Blucher, and Colonial, in part due to the change of ownership of the molds, during the first quarter or so of the 20th century, during which three companies owned them. As such we are unable to warrant the maker.
