Offered is this pair of beautiful hand-painted vases. Made on acid-dipped frosted glass, each vase is 14 1/2 inches (37 cm) tall. Unsigned, but probably made by Mont Joye. In very good condition (the inner-rim of one vase looks chipped, but is smooth and gilded, so perhaps it occurred during fabrication - see last picture).

A beautiful antique wine glass with a bell bowl above a double series opaque twist stem (DSOT) with collar, medial, and basal knops. Knops on opaque twists are much less common than straight stem opaque twists, and the more knops, the rarer. The opaque twist has a pair of 3-ply spiral bands outside of a central gauze.

A beautiful composite stem English wine glass with a tulip bowl above a stem with a multi-spiral air twist over a teared inverted baluster knop above a plain section. The glass has a domed foot with rough pontil.

The form itself is quite uncommon and when found is almost always with a pointed round funnel bowl or round funnel bowl, and of somewhat shorter height. For a glass of that type see Bickerton p. 193, fig 555...

An unusually large and beautiful wine glass or small goblet with a deep and crisp honeycomb molded ogee bowl. The stem features an uncommon multiple spiral air twist (MSAT) corkscrew cable. Conical foot with a rough, snapped pontil.

Superb condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or other problems. 6 3/4" tall, 2 1/2" bowl diameter, 3" foot diameter.

A very nice peacock or electric blue glass inkwell, the body cut in large facets. The hinged lid is topped with a figural cherub cast in glass of a matching color. The figure is completed with a matte acid finish that contrasts beautifully with the main part of the inkwell’s body. We’ve only seen this particular lid once and the figure was molded in colorless glass.

Offered is this beautifully decorated (with mums) biscuit jar, made by Pairpoint / Mt Washington, around 1900. The jar is 8 1/4 inches tall (to the top of the handle) and 5 inches wide. Glass whimseys, or end-of-day glass, were made at the end of the day's glass production by glassmakers using leftover glass; these items were usually taken home and given as gifts. Webb satin finish peachblow rose bowl, 3 inches in diameter and 3 inches tall. The bowl is cased in white with the exterior shaded from dark red at the top to a yellowish red at the bottom. The rim is crimped and edged in gold. The body of the rose bowl is decorated with gold prunus and a butterfly. There is a ground and polished pontil mark.

A very well-cut low bowl in an unidentified pattern. The cutting is deep, sharp and precise. The pattern comprises three panels of star- and diamond-cut cane, divided by elongated loops enclosing flashed fans and strawberry diamond, alternating with hobstars. The blank is heavy and very clear.

Beautiful Peachblow glass Pair - these were souvenirs sold at the Chicago World's Fair in 1893. The glass pear is 5 inches high and 2 1/2 inches wide. The glass is in fine condition.

An impressive and charming green-tinged very large champagne flute with a conical bowl above a bladed knop, all surmounting a hollow baluster knop. Soda glass with scattered bubbles, as expected.

Three perfume bottles: a green and white opaline overlay, cut and gilt bottle, an English white opaline and painted bottle and a brown clear glass bottle, cut and decorated in gilt. Nice Bohemian glass paperweight featuring a concentric millefiori design. The outermost ring is composed of alternating pink and blue complex star canes. The canes are placed over a scrambled ground. The base is flat and is clearly defined. The glass is heavy and of quite good quality.

This pair of crystal candlesticks was produced in Europe or England in the late 19th century. The maker is unknown. They are approximately 10 inches tall and the base has a diameter of 5 inches. The crystal is hand blown so that the candlesticks are hollow. They are hand cut with geometric patterns. The edges are beveled and the contoured shape has cut panels. The color is deep amber. A superb and tall Newcastle light baluster (NLB) wine glass or goblet with marriage or anniversary significance. The flared bell bowl has a trapped tear in the deep bottom. The stem features a shoulder angular knop above a slim inverted baluster knop, then a plain stem section leading to a basal ball knop above a conical foot with rough, snapped pontil.

A unusually fine example of a scrambled weight by the New England Glass Company. The weight includes latticinio twists and millefiore canes. The set-up includes a complex red, white and blue cane (visible through the concave bottom of the weight) formed of a heart silhouette surrounded by stars. The canes are tightly packed for a very nice appearance. The glass is quite clear.

Lovely panel-cut footed crystal compote, the stem with a blown teardrop. The foot is shaped to conform to the panel cutting. The crystal is top quality, with excellent weight and color. The bottom has a polished pontil.

A small New England Peachblow rose bowl with applied white vertical stripes. The 2 7/8 by 2 7/8 inch bowl has a crimped and scalloped rim and a broken pontil mark. The bowl is similar to those made for the 1893 World's Fair

A Mt. Washington scalloped rim bowl decorated with orchids. The 3 3/4 inch diameter, 2 3/4 inch tall satin finish bowl has subtle diagonal ribs and a polished pontil mark. The color shades from pale lavender on the flared rim to colorless at the bottom. The coloration appears similar to the bowl shown in plate 10-17 on page 243 in Wilson’s “Mt Washington & Pairpoint Glass” and the decoration matches that on the sugar shaker in plate 10-18 of the same book.

A superb example of a triple knopped double series opaque twist(DSOT)antique wine glass. The bell bowl sits above a stem with a 3-ply spiral around a central gauze, and shoulder, medial, and basal knops. 6 1/8" tall, 2 3/8" bowl diameter, 2 7/8" foot diameter.

Unlike many multi-knopped opaque twists, which are poorly fashioned and on the spindly side, this glass is elegantly executed and proportioned.

A marvelous and very rare Victorian patchbox, the body carved from a single piece of ivory and the cut crystal lid enclosing a cameo incrustation (“sulphide”) depicting a pansy. A ribbon tied around the flower’s stem reads “a moi”. This is a clever play on words. The French word for pansy is “pensé”, which is very nearly the same word used to mean “thought”. Perfect condition and the discrepancy between the bowl and foot diameters is due to the large flare of the bowl.

Rarely do you find a pair of early 1800's Anglo Irish cut crystal decanters complete with their original stoppers. They are in excellent condition for their age with just a few small chips. The most notable is a chip on one of the bases that you can see when turning the decanter upside down. The decanters are stable, don't wobble, no hairlines, and no cracks. Measure about 9.75 inches high, diameter about 3.75". Dates Circa 1800-1850.

This is an elegant SSOT, or single series opaque twist English antique drinking, or wine, glass. It has a drawn trumpet bowl and the stem has a beautifully fashioned enamel spiral gauze. Single series opaque twists are considerably rarer than double series twists. The conical foot has a rough, snapped pontil.

The glass has good height at 7 1/8 inches, a bowl diameter of 2 5/8 inches, and a foot diameter of 2 7/8 inches. There are no repairs or condition problems.

Unsigned, this 10" Mont Joye crystal cameo glass vase is beautifully hand enameled in a pattern of orchids over a clear "chipped ice" ground. Circa 1910

Condition: Excellent, no damage or repairs. There is slight age wear to the polished pontil base and wear to the gilded inner rim in spots, revealing the green enamel undercoat, as illustrated in the sixth photograph.

An especially attractive flint glass mold pressed goblet in the block and star pattern with ruby flashed top. Overall condition is very good although you can see some mild loss to the ruby stain. The glass probably dates to circa 1910. It was most likely made by Tarentum Glass.

This beautiful turquoise or robin's egg blue goblet is elegant and timeless. Its tall urn shaped bowl sits atop a short stem with globular knop. There are no seams which suggests that it is hand blown. While it is unmarked it is believed to be made by the highly regarded German-French glass maker Vallerysthal & Portieux.
