A beautiful silk Upholstered Italian Venetian silver gilt settee circa 1780-1820 measuring 75” length by 38” rear back height
An olive wood box, the lid decorated with an oval panel depicting an Italian couple, in the marquetry work typical of Sorrento. Late 19th c or around 1900. On the front is written Bellagio, meaning that the box was sold in this lovely resort by Lake Como as a souvenir. Width "8½/ 22 cm, height "2¾/ 7 cm and depth "6/15,5 cm. Condition: fine, except for the small key which is best left unturned, since it is difficult to maneuvre.

Federal Mahogany swell front chest of drawers. Yellow pine and poplar secondary woods. Maryland, probably Baltimore, 1790 to 1810. This chest is similar in ways to an example in "Furniture in Maryland, 1740-1940", Weidman, 1984, item #77, page 123. On both, the top conforms to the bow front case, projecting a bit beyond the case. And both have nicely formed French feet, inlaid banding on the drawers and above the skirt, and inlaid chevrons centering the escutcheons...

An antique Japanese Iwayado Kimono Tansu made of Kiri (Paulownia) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. All original Urushi lacquer finish with hand forged iron hardware. Warabite style handles and Kiri Leaf designed lock plates. A single section chest used for Kimono storage consisting of 4 large drawers, 2 small drawers and a security door behind which 4 smaller drawers were used to store valuables.

Jacobean or Tudor style Cast Architectural Element of Saint George slaying the dragon there are various paint traces throughout we date this at least Victorian if not Jacobean period. The material is some kind of lime plaster that is yellowish and not the normal white plaster we are accustom to seeing . This came from the Virginia house an incredible Jacobean style mansion that was donated in 1929 to the state by the Ambassador and his wife. H: approx. 7". W: approx. 7 1/2". D: approx. 2 1/4"...
Circa English 1870, a rare faux burl walnut book slide featuring a pair of gilt brass gothic revival style mounts enclosing an oval Sevres hand painted porcelain plaque of a woman. The faux painted burl wood and is quite exceptional in detail, depth and richness of color. Note: one brad missing in a lower right corner (see 2nd photo). In very good antique condition, it measures 6.25 inches high, 5.75” deep, and 13” long. Extends up to 22.5” long.
