Here is a fine example of a club created by a skilled craftsman! It is a circa 1910, smooth face hickory shaft golf club sporting a wonderful patina, stamped on the back "NICHOLLS SPECIAL".

Smooth face golf clubs fell out of fashion, and perhaps function, by the very early 1900s, yet they were still offered in catalogues for a number of years beyond this date.

The grip is missing except for the listing which is in good condition, and the almost-straight hickory shaft sports a nice aged pat...

Antique Silver Dress Cane-Ca. 1880-Long, vertical and tapering silver handle totally hand chased and engraved with scrolls, foliage and blooms, coco palm wood shaft and a brass ferrule. An exceptional size paired with a high relief and fine surface detail make of this scepter-like Anglo-Indian Kutch cane a desirable and first rate collectible. Offered is a delightful trio of 19th century, Horn, Apothecary Pharmacy Powder or Tablet Scoops. These tools of the trade were made in three different sizes ranging from nearly 5 inches long to 5.75 inches long.

These interesting pharmacy implements have a warm honey translucent tone and are complemented by a natural brownish color which is especially noted in the largest scoop. They were most likely made from cow horn as was typical of the period...

Offered is an early portable Steelyard scale that is designed to weigh goods up to 30 pounds. This primitive iron scale sports hand-forging construction and measures just over 13 inches in length. The manufacturer's identifying name is almost fully readable and is stamped "?? WHITHFIELD & SONS".

The arm on one side is stamped in increments 1 through 9 (pounds) and 7-30 on the opposite side...

Hard-to-find English barrel shaped wooden string holder with a pedestal base. Made of lignum vitae wood, the dispensing end has a twist off opening. Circa 1860-1880 it is still a useful object and a great find for the collector. Overall condition is good with only a small chip on the base. Has a beautiful warm patina and measures 5" long at base, 5.5" wide at back, 6.5" high.

A Swiss sterling silver engraved hunter case pocket watch with a chain with a Routier Quebec retailer signature. This size 13 ligne or size 0 watch has fancy tooling on its full hunter sterling silver case which has an MQ '04 monogram on one side. The front and back cases and dust cover all have Swiss 935 sterling silver marks including the bear mark and the works resemble a barred Swiss movement from around the 1900 era. The porcelain dial with a single sunk second hand dial is signed A.C...
