Case: 7.125" x 3.125” Brass and beveled glass carriage clock in the Boite Riche design with a shaped carrying handle above the flat pediment with the glazed aperture to view the platform escapement (not shown in photos). The rectangular lacquered brass case has gilt brass repousse work in narrow frieze above and below the beveled glass panels as well as around the base in a broader band. A rare and very large medical grade brass mortar with Dolphin handles, after Dutch model, Dutch or Northern European, c. 1690-1700.

An elegant mortar with concenthric lines and a gothic design with the wide mouth and two dolphin handles applied at the waist. The mortar comes with the original pestle. Such a large size and fine execution mortar for the period, would have been made for a pharmacy.

Symphonion double comb music box in the Rococo style, Model 25c. This beautiful box is pictured in the book "The Musical Box - A Guide for Collectors." The case, which looks like beautifully carved wood, is actually a composition and this particular model is very rare to find in such good condition. It measures 19" wide x ll" tall x 15" deep and has six 11 3/4" discs that play on twin sublime harmonie combs. The sound is absolutely wonderful!
