Nice ceramic vessel in a classic vase shape with fine Narino or Quimbaya culture, Northern Ecuador and Southern Colombia, 8th.-15th. cent. AD.

Rough, glazed ceramic in red colour, w remnants of black resist painting.

This beautiful bone weaving tool is from the central coast area of Peru. It is from the Chancay culture. 800AD-1200AD. It has a carved pelican and jaguar on the knuckle. It is 6 3/4" long and has nice polish. It is a no-brainer. I purchased it from HD Enterprises on October 12, 1989.

A choice and very charming collection of 6 bronze spatels or spoons with animal finials, baboon, monkey, rat, pelican, dog and bird. Late Moche or Chimú, 800-1200 AD.

Pin-shaped bronze coca spoons (also called lime spoon), was used to measure lime powder in order to enhance the hallucinogenic properties of other drugs.

They are costum mounted to a large plexi block and it seems to be a nice way to display them.

This incredible Olmec standing figure is 5 1/4 inches high (13.5cm) and 2 inches wide (5cm). It is made from beautiful opaque Olmec blue jade. The right arm was broken off in ancient times. The figure is represented in the back as transforming into a bird, with the back of the head, ears, and upper strap muscles of the figure's back forming the image of the head, eyes, and beak. It has incised iconography on the front and back...

Antique Pre-Columbian Mayan circa 500 to 900 A.D. terracotta head fragment adorned with one ear spool.

CONDITION: The item shows signs of age and use with patina and earthen deposits. It is also chipped.

PROVENANCE: The object came from a private Canadian collection of antiques and was sold by a reputable Canadian auction house in the 1980s.

Two rare pre-Columbian masks in excellent condition with beautiful patina. The largest is 2 1/2" X 1 1/2". From the peninsula of Santa Elena, Ecuador. They date to 300-500AD. From the collection of Michael Robbins, purchased in 1989.

Moche 200bc - 700ad varved bone pin implement with the top carved as a full figure wearing a tunic and headband long hair and holding a strombus shell trumpet. Condition as shown but is quite stable and solid L 5.25".
