Very unique translucent Spondylus shell human carving which is red/cream-colored found in the coastal area of Peru. 1 3/8" by 3/4". Collected in the 1950s by L. L. Dees. This is an extremely interesting artifact. It has quadruple imagery. The figures almost resemble a northwest totem. There is a different image when you turn the face upside down. There is also double imagery to the faces on the side. The same face is repeated at both ends of the stick. A lot of thought and work went into this beauty. The paint is very bold and strong. It is extremely well patinated. Carved from wood, it is 14 1/2" long...

A rare antique Pre-Columbian Jama-Coaque 300 B.C. - 400 A.D. ceramic amulet in the form of a standing nude male figure with an erect phallus. These types of amulets were associated with the male sex's power and fertility. The object has a hole at the temple for suspension.

CONDITION: It is in good condition, showing its age and wear. No repairs or restorations.

Chavin C1200BC-200BC Steatite and Stone Necklace , some beads are plain and some have the classic Chavin circle and dot patters while others have swirl patterns . Circa 1470-1532 AD pre-Columbian Inca ritual offering vessel Conopa in the shape of an Alpaca. Hand carved of a black fine grained stone, then polished with sand and water, with a hole in its back called a "qocha" (lagoon)-the container for offerings during the ceremony "haywarisqa" (ceremony of offerings) in which Alpaca fat and blood mixed with coca leaves were presented to the gods.

This is a Mezcala reclining figure made from a hard stone. This is a rare pose. It dates to 500C. It is 3" tall. It is from Guerrero, Mexico. I purchased it from Michael Robbins in 1989.

A terrific set of three finely made silver vessels, Pre-Columbian Inca Empire, 13th.-15th. century AD.

The set consists of a larger and very attractive hammered silver bowl (11 cm. in diameter and 70 grams), along with two smaller items, a votive rattling beaker (5,8 cm. tall and 19,34 grams) and a small thick dish (5 cm. in diameter and 17,13 grams).

Condition: Superb! Completely intact and the large bowl with iridecent patina.

Rare Pre Columbian necklace of agate, carnelian and quartz beads. The central pendant features a large-eyed, large-beaked terracotta bird that functions as a whistle that works and is loud an clear.There are 20 cylinder beads of agate and jasper and 2 cone-shaped crystal beads. Very Nice Pregnant Jalisco Figure, San Juanito Style. 8" x 4 3/8" x 3". CA. 200 B.C. to 500 A.D. Early type with coffee bean eyes, wearing ear tassels. Painted with a light brown slip and red skirt or pants. Small chip to nose and stabilized hairline crack in the crouch area, otherwise intact.

A large and attractive globular jar with twin handles and decorations on the upper part of the blackware vessel, Chimú c. 900-1400 AD.

Size: 18-19 cm. tall and 18-19 cm. wide.

Condition: Good Very fine, intact with two very small holes repaired.

This Olmec "spoon" is 1 1/4" X 3/4" and is made from translucent fuchsite. It is generally accepted that these served as trays from which shamans inhaled hallucinogenic snuff. This piece is from the famous Keith Finello collection and dates to C900-600BC.
