A Rare Han Dynasty large oval glass bead in shades of very pale blue to dark sky blue. Most of the front side of the bead has developed an intriguing beige patina. There are bi-toned (dark green & light blue) curvey line designs which are imbedded in the glass surface. The light blue line is now iridescent with age. The bead has two holes in the center for stringing.

19th century Chinese Peking glass bangle bracelet for a small child of classical shape made out of transparent red glass. Nice color, beautiful bubbles inside the material typical for the period. Beautiful patina and slight wear to the surface, overall in excellent condition. Inner diameter 48 mm (1 7/8 inches), outer diameter 2 3/8 inches. Statue of Kuan Yin, wearing a robe and a cape, sitting in "regal repose" on a dais surmounting a stylised lotus. Kuan yin is holding a scroll on her left hand and a small ball on her right hand. Glass, with remnants of soil encrustations. China, Qing Dynasty, early 19th century, maybe earlier. Height: 11.3 cm. Small chip at the back of right hand otherwise very good condition.

Statue, made of glass, representing Buddha Amithaba_ sitting cross-legged on an elevated lotus throne, his head backed by a lotus aureola, both hands holding a vase containing the nectar of immortality in his lap. China, early 19th century. Height: 10.1 cm. Very good condition.

Water pot of squat, ovoid form with a narrow foot and slight depression of a base. The even lavender-blue tone of the glass is translucent in strong light and is well-polished on the interior as well as the exterior. Such items as this were essential for the scholar's desk and are more often seen in ceramics than in Beijing glass. There are a few areas of abrasion and scratches from use and some light wear to the foot area...

Antique Chinese yellow-orange peking glass bottle of a gourd form. One of its sides is painted with a robed scholar sitting besides a bird's cage over enamel picture. The other side is painted with a man pulling a carriage for a beautiful woman and a young boy. Above this scene are some illegible markings in Chinese. Quirky glass ring emulating agate. This piece came from China but possibly is a trade object. I acquired this in a lot of other ancient pieces. A conservative dating to this is Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and guarantees it to this period. There is one crack as well as some bubble burst pitting on the surface. Outer D: 2.8cm and inner D: 1.9cm.

Inside of ring has embedded pipe scale from the glass working process and exterior layer of glass has stress crack with small chip missing...stress crack would also be from glass making process... but ring has been stable for couple of centuries...ring was bought in South China late 90s along with several other rings (all stone and sold) but this one was so unusual that I kept it ...really is lovely

A celadon colored Chinese Peking Glass wine cup. It is molded glass, cut/grinded with a short carved foot. Chinese glass was largely used to imitate more precious materials such as white jade, lapis lazuli and other valuable minerals.
