A extremely rare Southern Song ( 1127 – 1279 ) Guan ware, Guanyao washer. The well potted body in a very nice shape covered with a grayish-sea-green glaze with a highly attractive crackle. The light grey ware burnt brown in the firing. Guan´, the official ware of the southern Song court, is perhaps the most admired and desirable of all Chinese ceramics.
This rare washer is probably an excavated piece.

This is a Yuan Dynasty(1277-1367) celadon covered box. The top cover has a double circle with radiating club shaped like a sun ray all round. Just below it, is the design of foliage circling the all round. The flower part of the covered box also has foliage design design followed by a club shaped motif. The colour of the top half is lighter than the lower half of the covered box.
The covered box has minor abrasion and minute pinholes. No chip, crack, repair or restoration...

This is a qingpai ewer or jug from the Song Dynasty. The qingapi ewer is of sea greenish hue. It stands on a recess 2 tier base with a curving body of a baluster or bulbous shape extending towards a flatten shoulder and then a mildy everted neck and mouth. The body is also lightly incised with some form of design. This is a shipwreck item.
The qingpai ewer is in good condition. There is no repair or restoration...

Good Cizhou type high fired, well balanced, ovoid soy glazed with russet highlights jar from a northern kiln, circa- Five Dynasties to Northern Song. This is a Ming period heavily potted longquan celadon bowl
This is a Northern Song dynsty qingpai hexafoil bowl from the well known hetian yao or hetian kiln. It has a very artistically free hand incised flower on the cavetto and center of the bowl. It has a beautiful sky blue colour.
Generally it is in very good condition. The glaze condition is good with some minor manufacturing faults and glaze crazing as shown in the pictures. There is only a small nick which has a restoration on it, as shown in picture 3...

A Chinese, black glazed, stem cup; Yuan dynasty. Elegantly potted; rising from it's slightly flared foot, to the U-shaped bowl with an everted rim. The iron-rich black glaze appears brown at the rim and above the foot, where it terminates.

Yuan dynasty (1277-1367) cizhou style iron brown floral motif stem cup.
Some repair works. Possible re-attachment between the cup and the stem and at the mid-section part of stem (refer to photograph number 5). There are also some firing faults, expected degradation, chips & minor losses, abrasions, as a consequence of long period of burial and subsequent cleaning.
The measurement of the stem cup is: Height 9.1cm and the diameter is 9.0cm.
There are traces of an very attractive formerly gilt decoration and connoisseurs will agree that exactly this is it which makes this bowl ( Temmoku ) to an great rarity. Even in Museum collections there are almost no references for such pieces.

It is an astonishing vase which does not resemble anything known.The shape is very elegant and the decor simple but powerful. But I have absolutely no idea what it is. It is probably buffed sandstone rather than terracotta. The decoration presents a dragon in slight relief pursuing the sacred pearl. The decoration seems to me molded rather than sculpted. Chinese late Tang dynasty to Five Dynasties period stoneware ewer with high shoulder tapering down to a slightly flared foot and flat base, the short neck ending in a slightly wider rolled mouth. Quirky Cizhou type, heavy, completely black glazed, waisted beaker from circa Ming Dynasty. Possibly this was used in a Chinese Apothecary, but this is just a best guess to its function.
