Northern Song vitreous glazed over white slip Cizhou jar. Nice ivory toned piece emulating Ding ware. There is a simple repair on one side of the body which is pointed out in photos and chip on mouth rim. Dimensions: 13cm/2.9in width and 9.5cm/3.7in height. This from a Northern Kiln most likely Henan, or Shanxi.

This is a large bowl with deep sides rising from a short flared foot gradually for the first two-thirds, then steeply to a lightly indented vertical lip. The interior of the bowl is covered with glossy iron-rich black glaze with five lustrous russet-silvery glaze streaks, like a star, radiating from the base with the black glazed background...

Another niece piece of Ming dynasty funerary sancai glazed foreign groom and horse. The groom is foreign looking with a white slash on the waist and downward. The cap looks like from the western part of the county, probably from the one of the tribes. The groom wears a brown coloured clothe with a long sleevless outer coat in green with white collar and button. The horse is cream white in colour with green glazed harness and green saddle cloth on the horse back...

Large Chinese Ming Dynasty Stoneware Jar with Spout

This unusual jar was made during the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). Apart from the short spout at the shoulder, it is a conventionally-shaped storage jar. The outer surface and inner mouth are coated in a black glaze. The glaze falls just short of the bottom of the jar leaving the concave base unglazed. Likewise, the inner surface also remains unglazed.

This is quite large jar with a height of 22.25cm, diameter 20.5 cm...

A very rare Jianyang temmoku wine jar of Song dynasty (11th to 12th century) that has the characteristic black body clay, traces of burial earth are left intact around the handle and mouth areas of the vase for authentication purposes. The typical thick black glaze with the aforementioned black body clay, clearly designates the origin about 230 km from Jingdezhen in the region of Jiangxi province. The rare shape of this bowl is so to say a forerunner of a shape which was common during the Yuan Dynasty. A Chinese doctor would use this stoneware clay pillow to support the wrist while taking the pulse of a patient.

The pillow was made using slab construction and all the surfaces are decorated with a star pattern and covered with a traditional glaze. There is a tiny vent hole on the bottom to facilitate firing. It measures 4.5x3 x 1.5 inches and is covered with traditional green glaze. The age estimate on this is very conservative...this is a rare artifact and possibly much older than liste...

Beautiful “Cizhou” type black storage jug with lugs probably used for preserved vegetables, circa Ming Dynasty. A very attractive piece with lovely contrasting black and russet glazes, and paraffin patina throughout. Good example what would have been used in an ancient Chinese kitchen. Perfect condition, except for one very small glaze chip inside the mouthrim, noted in last enragement. H: 18.5cm/7.2in and D: 18cm/7.1in.

This is a late southern Song dynasty black glazed ewer. It stand on a short recessed base exposing the buff colour earthen clay material. It has two moulded leaf motif ear to the left and right shoulder of the ewer. The real item looks nicer than the photographs

This is Song Dynasty (960 – 1276) yingqing jar with cover. The motif on top of the cover is moulded. On the body, just below the neck, on the shoulder, it is incised with what looks like S-shaped sunray, on the centre part of the body, it is incised with lotus flowers and foliage and at the lower part towards the base, it is incised with upright leaf lappets.

Some minor abrasions. There are no chip, crack, restoration or repair. It is in good condition.

A Chinese crackle ware, cream coloured, glazed vase. I would suggest that this vase dates from the Ming dynasty, and certainly no later than the C18th. Dimensions; 12.6 cm tall. Condition; with age related wear, and an old repair to the neck. No overpainting.

This is a small Ming dynasty celadon or longquan vertically ribbed jarlet.

The dimension is as follows: The height is 7.4cm and thw width is 7.4cm.

It is in good condition.. A manufacturing crack (picture 6)at the base which show through the inside of the jarlet base as well. No damanage, restoration, repair or chip. Minor abrasion and manufacturing fault.

This is a small and thinly potted Song Dynasty (960 – 1276) small yingqing bowl. It stands on a short glazed foot rim and base rising to an everted c-shaped glazed body stopping short of the rim. Both the rim inside and outside of the bowl is unglazed exposing the porcellanous body.

The small yingqing bowl has abrasion, glaze crazing, pin holes and a small chip on the rim which can be seen in all the pictures. There is no repair or restoration. Overall the bowl is in good condition...

A Chinese, black glazed, stem cup; Yuan dynasty. Elegantly potted; rising from it's slightly flared foot, to the U-shaped bowl with an everted rim. A Chinese, qingbai, bowl incised with a sponaneous 4floral design; Song dynasty. The rim of the bowl is notched to give the impression of six petals. Overall covered in a greenish glaze, except for the outer base and foot-rim. Likely from Fujian province. Dimensions; 17.8 cm diameter. Condition; there is some wear to the glaze, a few small rim chips, and a couple of short hairlines from the rim. It has a resonant tone when tapped.

Ca. 1700s

This stoneware dish is shaped in the form of an oval tray with straight walls, raised on four molded feet. It is glazed overall with a semi-transparent brownish-amber glaze with areas of faint purples and reds. An unglazed area in the center of the base is brush painted with six Chinese characters in iron slip glaze. Some kiln cracking is present on one end and the typical wear for an item of this age and use is evident on the feet and areas of the glaze. There are no restoration...

A Northern Chinese black ware dish; Jin to Yuan dynasty. Probably from Henan province. Overall covered in a dark glaze which terminates to the exterior well above the foot. The interior of the dish was fully glazed, then a ring wiped clean for stacking purposes. The dish is decorated to the interior with five evenly spaced splashes of iron-oxide; which have fired reddish brown. In good condition. Diameter 16.8 cm

A green glazed "celadon" stoneware vase with flattened pear-shaped body,ring handles and moulded decoration made in the Longquan kilns, Zhejiang province in the 14th Century, during the Yuan dynasty (1279-1368). On each side of the vase are six-lobed cartouches containing the Chinese characters "shou" (longevity) and "fu" (prosperity).
