The larger one is an Araimudi, in the shape of fig leaf and was by worn by young village girls to protect their “modesty”, the smaller one was probably worn as an amulet with a granulated image of a feminine deity. A superb Indian statue of a pair of Hindu deities with different attendants set near the deity. The couple might be the deities Shiva and Parvati with their child, Ganesha. The back of the mandorla like structure is engraved with a Devanagari-like script. Age: 19th-20th century Size: length 6" width 2.25" height 5.9"

A good 19th century Ningxia Region pillar rug with a dragon motif. The woollen rug has a design of a blue winding dragon with open mouth; all around are Buddhist auspicous symbols like the flaming Pearl and clouds. Measurements: L 168 x 62 cm; L 66 x W 24,5 inches. Good condition.

Nepalese Magar Tribe Mask with a Vagina and an Inscription in the forehead, and a Penis Nose. 9.5 inches, 24 cm. From the collection of Irwin Hersey, renowned author on Asian and primitive art, and publisher of the Primitive Art Newsletter in the 1970s. A cute group of small bronze Erotic sculptures of mainly couples corpulating, India from the 19th. to mid 20th. cent.

Three figures are old and probably from the 19th. century. Great details and quality casting. Another is probably vitange in a brassy metal and primitive. Finally a green patinaed woman and a small guy with a large phallus (7).

Ornate 19C Silver Indo Tibetan Dragon Necklace. The decorative and intricately worked silver 19th or early 20th century necklace has two open mouth dragons and a bird in high relief at the bottom. The necklace measures 30 inches in length. In good condition.

This small elaborate Buddhist monk's medicine bottle is sewn into a larger pouch of burgundy homespun wool fabric with yellow/gold silk lining. When worn, the stopper would be securely held in the bottle by a system of handmade cords and bands. The medicine bottle would be worn outside the robes and suspended on the Monk's belt. These were used for both travel and ceremonies.

Small cast bronze oil lamp in the form of an elephant drinking water from a trough. Measuring 3.5" high x 4" long, the lamp will fit in the palm of your hand and is attached to a heavy hand wrought chain that ends with a hook in the shape of a cobra. Chain and hook measures 9.5 inches long. There is a reservoir for oil inside the elephant. Sub-Continent tribal white metal Necklace, 13" long across and 2 1/2" high for metal part linked with cloth rope which can be changed. Each link is carved with dangling leaf shape charms, the charms are hollow inside, and connected together with rope to stay and hang together neatly. Beautiful 18th century black stone schist of vishnu with four arms. The arms hold a flower, a talisman with a 5 point star, a chile, and one hand is open palm outward with a dot in the middle. There are two attendants, one on either side. It measures 20" tall by 10" wide. Has metal base 4" deep.

Rare silver mounted boar's tusk opium pipe from the Himalayas in the Tibetan area. The bowl is in the form of a dragon's head with dark blue glass eyes and has a cover fashioned as the dragon's nose with a chain attached. Marked 925. This is real treasure for the collector and is in excellent working condition. Following the outer curve it measures 7.5 inches. Dates circa 1900.
