Pair of small Shiva lingam carved in dark marble. The first one, smaller, has part of its aureola missing. Sub-Continent tribal white metal Necklace, 13" long across and 2 1/2" high for metal part linked with cloth rope which can be changed. Each link is carved with dangling leaf shape charms, the charms are hollow inside, and connected together with rope to stay and hang together neatly. Staff carved out of one piece of a hard species of wood. On the top crouches a female figure with long hair, the arms wrapped around her body. The tip is a lighter middle brown while the rest is patinated a dark brown. Probably used in Shamanistic rites in tribal regions. Himalayans.

Himalayan Metal Chop with Brass Conch Shell Buddhist symbol inlaid, early 1900's, 1 3/4" high, 1/2" diameter-bottom, steel inlaid star design on the bottom, two(2) holes on the side mid section for the rope carrying on their belt. Some rust remain on the metal area.

Late 18th to early 19c century Indian bronze votive sculpture depicting Lord Vishnu with characteristic sun disc and conch shell held in his upper hands. Vishnu is the preserver of the universe and the embodiment of truth, goodness and mercy. Cast in Karnataka state, very crisp casting and great detailing, beautiful dark brown patina. Charming votive folk embroidery, from the Saurashtra area of Gujarat, made by the Kanbi farmers caste, circa 50/60 years old. The two ply field is woven from all hand spun rough cotton thread; hand dyed silk thread and small glass mirrors. Ganesh is flanked by two female consorts and his “vehicle” of mice beneath him. Antique hand-made solid silver Tibetan Buddhist Ritual Anointing Medicine Silver” Tsog “spoon adorned with repousse and engraved designs, the handle, jeweled with natural turquoise stone.

Not hallmarked but has been tested and it is at least 900 silver .

Red copper and silver bowl, Tibetan and probably used for buttered tea. Silver lining and foot rim, the latter with a border of stylized leaves, embossed and chased, probably early 20th century. Tibetan silver normally lacks hallmarks and this bowl tested for a silver content of 500/1000. Diameter "3 3/4 / 9.7 cm, height "2/ 5 cm. Condition: fine.

18th century small Indian bronze votive sculpture depicting Shridevi - a form of Lakshmi, the consort of Lord Vishnu. She is holding an open lotus in her left hand. Very nice casting - see her graciously bent figure, beautiful warm brown patina, high devotional wear with traces of sandalwood powder in crevices, overall in great condition for a votive piece. Height 2 3/8 inches.

Finely cast small statue of Hindu Goddess Annapurna, sitting cross-legged on an elevated throne, holding the ritual spoon in both hands. Bronze, with reddish and green patina. India, 17th century, maybe earlier. Height: 4.3 cm. Abrasion due to great age, otherwise good condition.

A solid cast bronze alloy figure depicting Krishna the "Butter Thief" as a youth holding a ball of butter that he stole from his stepmother. Baby Krishna or Bala Krishna is crawling with a ball of butter in his right hand. 18th century Indian bronze Shiva shrine from Western India in a form of a courtyard, the family of Shiva seated around a lingam, including his wife Parvati in her Annapurna manifestation and her son Ganesha, as well as Nandi bull and a seated figure of a shrine donor with offerings in his hands. The back halo has the protective naga (cobra) with its hood wide open, and there is a pile of offerings in the front right corner of the shrine...
