Huge (36 inches, 91.5 cm across!) Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) Cloisonné Charger with Flower and Bird motif. This is one of the most fantastic 19th Century Japanese Cloisonné works we have ever seen. The colors are magnificent and most vivid on a Robin Egg Blue field framed with a gorgeous pattern. The size is amazing and with the stunningly rendered flowers and birds, it makes for a rare, breathtaking exhibitor work of art that will be a spectacular center piece for any home or office...

An early 6" koro decorated in the 10,000 flower design against a pale grey blue ground, well executed and with minimal pitting. It is unfortunately missing a number of small red cloisons edging the upper rim.

This fine silver wired 3" x 2.5" box is from one of the better studios. A single bird descends from a blooming prunus tree, the trunk of which extends down the front side of the box against a ground of blue so dark it appears black. The mounts are of silvered brass.

Condition: Good, there is minor scuffing to the bottom and an old repair to the upper left edge of the lid.

A brass wired green and brick red dragon writhes about the brown goldstone surface of this early Meiji 14" charger.

Condition: Good, with pitting usual to pieces of the period and a couple of slight nicks to the brass rim. No chips, hairlines or repairs.

An exquisite and exceptionally rare 19th century monochromatic transparent ruby red enamel over solid gold vase with the impressed seal of Namikawa Sosuke. Sosuke did very few transparent enamel vases; there is an example in the Khalili Collection done in purple on a silver body with silver mounts, it lacks the brilliance of this vase. Height: 7.5625"

An overall design of plum blossoms and buds on a rich blue background. The base and mouth are rimmed in silver. There is no maker’s mark, but similar works with generally the same pattern were produced by the artist Hayashi Tanigoro in the Taisho period, 1912-1926. Very good condition, having only a very small dent in the edge of the silver rim.

Scene of geese on a flowering stream bank. Though unsigned, the design is very well executed in mostly earth-toned enamels. There are some faint stress lines of discoloration in one area under the enamel, otherwise the condition is very good.

This late 19th or early 20th century Japanese cloisonné vase is 11 3/4 inches high and 4 1/2 inches on the widest part. It depicts a rooster and hen in a bamboo grove. It is in excellent condition.

This early 20th century Japanese silver wire cloisonné vase is 7 3/8 inches high and 4 inches on the widest part. It depicts a rose blossom and buds. It is in excellent condition.

Namikawa Cloisonne Perfume Bottle Unsigned, 19th Century

The bottle is 2.45 inches (6 cm) tall, and 2 inches (5 cm) wide.

It is in good condition with no repairs, or chips, except very faint hairline cracks at the side (as seen in the photos).
