A Japanese circular hand mirror decorated with a stylised representation of Penglai, Horai, island the principal elements of which are a pair of small birds in flight, stylised rocks with pine branches above stylised waves and a central Turtle, kame, form boss. The mirror is probably late Kamakura or Nambokucho in date, first half of the fourteenth century.
The mirror measures approximately 10.7cm in diameter, and 0.7cm high at the rim, and the edge measures 3.75mm in width, and weighs 200gms...

A beautifuly formed iron sake kettle known as a Choshi with a solid silver lid and featuring sliver inlay designs on the handle enclosed in an age darkened kiri-wood bos titled Tetsu Choshi Jungin-futa. It is 8 cm (just over 3 inches) diameter, 16 cm (6 inches) to the top of the handle, and is in excellent condition.

Antique Japanese bronze censer in the form of a monkey. Elongated right arm is holding a ring attached to a chain and another ring for hanging. The monkey's left arm hangs by his side and it's tail wraps around. There is a round door in the back for inserting incense. The smoke would come out an opening in the monkey's mouth. Charming expression. Deep patina.
