Covered entirely except for the footring in a clear glaze with a bluish tinge. Open to the base to accommodate a stemcup. Very good condition. No cracks or chips. Some sand adheres to the foot and base.

Koryo Dynasty, 1100s

Glazed entirely including the foot and base with a pale greenish-grey glaze, and decorated on two sides with bold stylized calligraphic designs. Good condition except for a small chip to the mouth rim. The foot retains evidence of at least eight spurs on which it was fired and possibly a dusting of wood ash from the firing adding character and a bit of visual texture to the upper body.

Choson period, 1800s

Scene of three sailing boats on a sea surrounded by mountains and a rocky shore. The two curving sides have a line of stylized brushwork. The flat base has sand and kiln grit adherence. Very good condition, with only very minor wear.

Decorated in cobalt blue with a design of chrysanthemum and bamboo, stoutly potted and glazed with a clear glaze of faintly aqua tint. Very minor glaze pitting and surface scratches, slight wood ash dusting seen mostly on the shoulder of one side, small amount of sand adhering to the foot, otherwise very good condition.

A Korean, celadon bowl with incised decoration of two parrots to the interior of the bowl; Goryeo dynasty. The beautiful bluish green colour has turned an olive-green colour, in part, due to the incomplete oxidising atmosphere of the kiln. Dimension; 17cm diameter. Condition; a couple of long hairlines eminating from the rim, a chip to the rim, slightly warped, and firing imperfections.

Rare 5th Century Korean Gaya Water Jar of Classic Form, Color, and Design. The decoration is incised into the clay between the carved bands before firing. Gaya was a confederation of small states independent from and influential on the the Silla Kingdom and its pottery, until Silla annexed Gaya in the 6th Century. A Korean celadon stand of a barbed form, late Goryeo dynasty. The exterior with floral sanggam design, and upper surface with moulded decoration. The foot with attached kiln sand. Dimensions: diameter 11.25 cm. Condition: with some age related wear, and a glaze crack to the rim which may extend to the other side; as a hairline. Additional photos are available upon request.

A Korean, inlaid slip (sanggam), celadon brush washer for the scholar's desk; Goryeo dynasty. Delicately potted and with a fine coloured glaze, this washer is fully glazed with three kiln-support marks to the foot. It is inlaid with floral decoartion to both the interior and exterior. Dimensions: 10.9 cm diameter. Good glaze condition, some overpainting to the rim, and an associated hairline. Additional photos are available upon request.

Antique Korean porcelain moon vase (dalhangari). Oval form with wide mouth. Glazed with transparent, very pale bluish tinted glaze.

Korean white porcelain was prized by members of the royal court during the Joseon Period. Special kilns were established by the court to exclusively produced these beautiful white porcelain vessels.

Age: 18th century

Dimensions: 12 1/4" high x 8 1/2" wide

"Bun-in" is the last kiln for Joseon court. And there, high quality and sophisticated works were made. The chamfered vase is very rare on late Joseon. This piece is seemed to be made at a folk kiln in Bun-in. Certification : written by Noriki Shimazu the famous Asian antiques researcher in Japan. Size/ D:16.4cm H:14.5cm
