A Large antique Korean faceted, ten sided, storage Jar with a matching lid. Such jars were a part of a Korean kitchen, and were used to store honey and molasses. The jar measures, with lid, about 9 3/4" high x 8 1/2" in diameter, and the mouth opening is 3 5/8" across. The lid appears to be original to the Jar. The Jar is in good condition. A Korean soapstone box that has a square section carved out for the ink pad plus space to store soapstone seals. The box is cut out of one block of red soapstone measuring about 4 3/4"w x 3 5/8"d x 3"h. The red block is marbled with white and gray grains and spots.
