This is a magnificent little pedestal bowl from ancient Korea. It dates to the Silla period(57 BCE-935 CE). The body is conical with rectangular perforations common to the era. A small Korean lidded burial jar from the Silla Dynasty, United Period, 8/9th Century. The jar has an overall stamped design, and shows kiln glossing over its otherwise unglazed exterior.
