Very rare Burmese wooden seated crowned Buddha or sometimes known as King Buddha, wearing diadem-crowns and ornaments of king instead of ordinary monk's robes, with gilded gold.

This Buddha is special with an opening niche at the back of the base to keep Buddha scroll, gemstone or Buddha relic.

Covered bowl in lacquered wood covered with black lacquer (roiro) decorated with stylized flowers and fans in gold powder. The artist used several shades of gold to give relief to his creation. On the fans are carefully drawn tiny patterns, waves, plants and turtles (minogame) surrounding a moon (or a sun). Antique Islamic Javanese Indonesian Islamic short sword—dagger, Kris, Keris with an old 17th–18th-century well-made serpentine-shaped blade and 19th-century mountings.

The blade with 9 luk (waves) is hand-forged with a beautiful pamor pattern. It is mounted in 19th-century fittings, including a hilt (hulu) made of trembalo wood in the Yogyakarta style with typical carvings.

Nice old Lahu bamboo woven basket (there is some rattan used in the bindings), from the Golden Triangle region in Northern Thailand. This is a genuine ethnic/tribal piece and not made for the tourist trade. There is a carrying strap that comes with this but it is not woven into the basket itself. The basket is in excellent condition while the strap has some brittleness where it folds. H: 22cm/8.5in and D: 23cm/9in.

Porcelain vase. Decor of dragons chasing the sacred pearl, painted in underglaze cobalt blue. The ground is covered with an ochre-greenish enamel. Vietnamese work from the 19th century or before? The vase is very broken as shown in the photos. The broken neck has been replaced by a silver neck on which a stopper has been placed. Height: 24cm.

A Padang Highlands gilt brass kettle with false lid and a lidded box standing on three legs, both cast with the lost wax method showing floral and geometric motifs. Condition: both lids with few tiny casting holes, the box interior with some rust, both items with traces of usage. Thai Rattanakosin period gilded and lacquered bronze Sakyamuni Buddha figure seated cross-legged in meditation on a plinth with hands in dhyana mudra. The figure is modeled with the characteristic serene face and downcast almond eyes, elongated ears, curled headdress, and flaming usnisa. He wears an elaborately patterned robe draped with one shoulder bare. 19th century. 17 3/8" high; base: 12" wide x 7 1/2" deep; 8 1/2" from edge of knee to edge of knee. Weighs 16 lbs...

Charming box with sliding lid at the top carved into the shape of an elephant, circa early 20th century with traces of original lacquer. Please examine the enlargements to see the harness and trappinsg carved into the body. Good condition. L: 17.5cm6.9in and H: 10.2cm/4in.

Small porcelain Vietnamese shipwreck recovery water dropper in the shape of an elephant. The glaze has dissolved after so long under the water but the body is intact. This is most likely from the Cau Ma shipwreck, circa 1775, discovered off the coast of Vietnam. No chips or damage. L: 6.2cm/3.2in and H: 5cm/2in.

Ikat sarong from the upland Karen (Pwo or Sgaw) ethnic group in Northern Thailand. This is woven from all handspun cotton thread and natural dyes. Acquired in the 1980s, it has never been used and as such may be described as being in pristine original condtion. The cloth coming these people nowadays, are nowhere near this quality.
