Korean Monochrome Glazed Porcelain Bottle / Vase - Late Joseon Dynasty

This nicely-shaped bottle was made during the latter part of the Joseon (Choson) Dynasty (1392 - 1910), probably the 18th or 19th century. It is "heavily-potted" and coated both inside and out in a thick pale glaze. Around the foot ring there is a considerable amount of kiln grit embedded within the glaze, a feature often seen on ware of this type from this period...

Japanese limited edition sosaku hanga “kappa-ban” (stencil print) on crumpled hand-made momigami paper by Sadao Watanabe (1913-1996) titled “The Crucifixion.” The black and white image of Jesus nailed to a red cross is set against a blue background. Mary and Saint John kneel in prayer at each side. The print is signed and dated 1980 at the lower right and numbered 11/80 at the lower left, all in white ink. Sometimes things just fall into your lap unexpectedly and this is what happened with the two Antonio Pineda brooches I am listing today. First up a fun (albeit ... smelly in real life, if you are not careful) figural brooch glorifying our beloved skunk! At least, I think it's a skunk and I wish I had a more noble name for the creature. Such an unusual, tongue-in-cheek design for Antonio who is seriously modernist and quite heavy at times...

Description:

A bronze water basin was inscribed with poems and carved with beautiful scenery on the surface.
The inscriber was Pu Ton, A sibling of the last emperor of Qing Dynasty Pu Yi.
Pu Ton was also a famous scholar of late Qing to early Republic periods.
This bronze piece was cast in thin wall but was kept in very good condition with darken patina on the surface.

Date: 1924, by the Chinese lunar date JiaZi inscribed before the poem...

This is a smashing sterling and wire wrapped glass ball pendant and chain by Modernist Paul Lobel. It is three dimensional and interesting from every angle. A great size, measuring 2 1/2" including the bail, it is on its' original chain 18" also made by Paul Lobel. It is in fine original condition and both the pendant and the chain clasp are signed LOBEL STERLING. One of the nicest Lobel pieces I have seen.

An exceptionally lively pair of 6 X 8 millimeter oval cabochon bezel set opals center this pair of 18Kt yellow gold earring. The opal on each earring is encircled by 16 round, diamond-cut prong set white sapphires. The earrings have leaver backs. Pictures do not do justice to these great pair of earrings. The overall measurement of the earrings is 13 X 11 millimeters.

George III wine jug of classical urn form, decorated with bands of bright-cut foliate engraving. London, 1791, by John Robins. The jug is further adorned with an urn finial, bent wood handle, and with an engraved shield-shaped cartouche with family monogram. Size: 12 1/8" ht. x 6" length x 4 3/4" diameter. Excellent antique condition.
