World War I trench art brass artillery shell casing, embossed with figures of two Art Nouveau ladies in negligees. Circa 1914-1920. Size 27 inches length x 3 1/3 inches diameter. This shell was never fired and retains its original projectile point; it was originally re-fashioned as a lamp. Limited edition Japanese woodblock print by Clifton Karhu (1927-2007) titled "Winter Driveway." Pencil-signed and titled, dated '78, and numbered 19/100 in the bottom margin. Paper size: 12 1/8" x 11 7/8" (image: 9 7/8" x nearly 10"). The print was never framed and is in very good overall condition. There is possibly some faint discoloration to the paper from age. Magnificent Chinese carved wood and polychrome figure of the Immortal Sage of Longevity. Finely detailed carving with painted enamel polychrome colors applied throughout probably from the first part of the 20th century. A nicely carved natural amber pendant of the Hand of Buddha Citron. There is a hole at the top on the piece so it can be worn as a pendant. The citron fruit may be given as a religious offering in Buddhist temples. According to tradition, Buddha prefers the "fingers" of the fruit to be in a position where they resemble a closed rather than open hand, as closed hands symbolize to Buddha the act of prayer. Here is a striking ring with a trilliant or triangular cut synthetic alexandrite and 2 full-cut diamond accent stones. The stone is steely blue in daylight, and a pretty purple in incandescent light, with teal blue flashes; it measures 1/4” per side. Size 7-3/4, and it could be re-sized. A Victorian 9k rose gold watch chain & fob with a seal end 1897. This 4" fob chain and 3/4" long seal are fully hallmarked - it is all solid gold. The 9/16" x 7/16" seal has a full set of hallmarks for Birmingham, England 1897 (probably, since the year date is slightly worn); each link is stamped 9 .375, and the swivel is stamped as well. The seal has a fancy Gothic THC monogram and this well made watch chain weighs 10.9 grams...

Delicately crafted, in perfect proportions, this Chinese vessel sits on four feet, flares slightly to the rim which is decorated on the top with flowers and scrolling elements, and has blue enamel inset into the Greek border on the edge of the rim. The body is heavily decorated with flowers, butterflies, and scrolling foliate designs, all in shades of red/rose/pink, blue and green over a dark bronze/brass background, with a solid blue enamel on the bottom...

This 14Kt white gold filigree ring dates back to “the roaring twenties”. The masterfully reticulated setting holds an 18 X 9 millimeter oval beveled onyx that is centered by an approximately 0.05 Ct old-mine diamond. The ring is a size 5 ¼ and it can easily be sized.

Fabulous pair of vintage Los Castillo weighted copper angel candleholders in a classic Salvador Teran design from the 1950s, I believe. These can be found in brass and silver plate with or without inlaid wings but I love the fantastic patina that the copper has developed over the years in this pair. Though a set, one of the pieces is slightly bigger than the other - they are after all handwrought works and bound to exhibit small dissimilarities...
