During his long career, Spralting designs included many household items in sterling silver. This vintage sterling and rosewood tea strainer appears to be a bird in flight. Measuring 6" long X 2 3/4" the piece is in beautiful condition. Hallmarked on the reverse. Pictured on spratlingsilver.com.

Chinese Republic period porcelain plaque decorated in famille rose enamels with the eight immortals standing outdoors under a pine tree with bats flying overhead. 41 in. long and 3/8th inch tall. The weight is 199 grams of quality silver work. We have a signature and eagle of Villasana and the finer chain hanging from the tassels which indicate the oldest rope necklaces of the era. The tassels have a beautiful brushed silver top and a braided bottom. I will be listing a smaller in diameter one this week as well. Beautifully carved, this soapstone figure really captures the essence of the stately Polar Bear. He stands 3 3/4" high, 8 1/4" wide, and is 4 3/4" deep, and weighs roughly 4 pounds and 4 ounces. Very fine and rare Japanese Edo era Hasami Bako, or storage/traveling box, measuring roughly 12" wide (including brass hanging hooks on sides), 5 1/2" deep, and 6 1/8" high. It dates to the late Edo era, some time between 1780 and 1850.
