A very charming wise old OWL! This vase stands 12 inches tall and is 7 inches wide/diameter. The body of the owl is comprised of rough unglazed "feathers" and has glazed shiny highlights. The sides and based are glazed. This exanple is unmarked, but I have had marked versions, all with the Royal Haegar ink stamp. No cracks, chips or repairs, Circa 1960

Excellent vintage mid-century modern sterling cuff with a very distinctive design incorporating carved wood and turquoise. Circa 1960. Marked STERLING and also with a mark which looks like three animal claws or an animal track. Although I can't find this exact mark in "Hallmarks of the Southwest" I am guessing this piece is Native American.

A 19th century (early Meiji) period Buddhist image we believe to be a thousand armed version of Yakushi Nyorai accompanied by two sages carved entirely of fragrant sandalwood on a gilded wooden base. The group is in total 15-1/2 inches (39 cm) tall, the image alone 5-1/2 inches (14 cm) tall. Both sages are missing an arm, as well as one lotus blossom rising from the wave patterned base. The holy figure itself also once had a greater number of arms, which have been lost over the last 150 years...

An intricate age darkened Keyaki (elm) carving of two dragons vying for dominance in a sea of clouds, glass eyes glowing softly in the rich red wood. Dating from the later 19th century, the carving is 49 inches (125 cm) long, 4 x 1-1/2 inches (9.5 x 3.5 cm). It is overall in fine condition with some inevitable abrasions due to time. The tennons on both ends indicate this was made to be inserted between two pillars, and was likely the transom over a Buddhist altar.

Description: A black-glazed tea bowl was uniquely shaped in a stout way. Molded by a narrowed wall, the foot had a rolled ring at the bottom. Having been cleaned professionally though, the luster of the glaze was retrospective when subtle brownish tint was amid the evenly applied black glaze. Date: Jin to Yuan period, Provenance: Tinlin kiln Fujiang Province. Width: 11.5cm, Height: 5.7cm.

Description: A northern stoneware was intriguingly applied with russet oil-spots glaze. In a lovely size, the bowl was molded regularly in well proportion. While with a charming glaze effects on the inner and outer surface, the bowl’s foot ring was unglazed and was revealed with the meticulously applied protection coating on the body clay. The sandy-feel protection slip cracked in some way and reveal the white clay underneath. Date: Jin to Yuan period(13th-14th century) Width: 8.2cm.

This is a Yuan dynasty celadon vase with a three claws dragon and a phoenix motif flying in the sky. The phoenix is very elegantly engraved with a beautiful body, with a pair of wide spreading wings and with the tail floating in the sky. English mahogany reading stand. Circa 1850. This stand features a finely turned pedestal that supports a reading surface with opposing fold-up slopes and brass page restraints. The reading height adjusts in increments from 29" to 40.5", and there is a single frieze drawer at one end. Superb condition.

This is a Song dynasty qingbai appliqué dragon funerary vase in high relief. It has a short splay foot rim, then everted upward to a u-shaped body with a slight tilted wide shoulder and with a finger pinched moulded rim. From the center of the shoulder rises a long neck winding upward edges, like the ancient tower of Babylon, towards what looks like a garlic head rim. It has a five claws dragon coiling round the neck of the vase chasing after the flaming pearl in the sky...

Deco style bar unit with mottled glass top and side panels in a gilded cabinet. Circa 1950s. Probably Italian. One half of the top hinges upward to reveal a liquor compartment fitted for bottles, while in the other half one of the front side panels opens outward for storage. Size: 55.5" long x 29.25" high x 18.25" deep.

A very large size Yuan to early Ming longquan celadon dish, center with impressed peony spray motif, the cavetto with vertical ribbing suggesting petal, rounded side with flattened rim and raised edge, base is glazed with ring for firing which is reoxidizes red during cooling, undecorated outside, covered with blue - green glaze. base has few small drilled owner's marks.
Dish is in very good condition with 4 cm rim fretting restore.

A magnificent 970 silver, amethyst and moonstone bracelet by Antonio Pineda. A rare design with two kinds of stones that are very complimentary in color. The bracelet measures 7" around in the inside and is 3/4" wide. It weighs 74 grams and is in fine original condition. The stones are all original and there are no chips or cracks to any of them. The safety chain is intact and the push in clasp is tight. It is extremely beautiful and rarely seen.

Opium smoking set consisting of a tray with handles, a lamp (or burner) and two small dishes. The tray with five compartments, three of them closable with a hardwood lid and bronze knobs in the form of sitting foo lions. The lamp, dishes and the outside of the tray made of gilt copper and with decoration of mille fleur in colored cloisonne enamel. Antique Wedgwood dark blue Jasper ware dip jug, England, c.1900., with classical scenes in relief of Diana and other figures making offerings, and with festooned decoration round the rim. Description: A tripod bronze censer was in elegant shape. Supported by three slender feet, the oval belly was well molded. In pure black patina which was caused from long time of age, the censer was in rarely found simple form.
