A very rare Song stone carved mirror holder in the shape of a mythical ox called n Xiniu. The ox has his head turned upward and is looking at the moon which is represented by the bronze mirror above and the stone carvings represent the clouds. A Longquan bowl was in nice conical shape and was fired into a crackled glaze imitating the rare Guan wares.
It was an excavation piece for some time from the dry-feel condition to the glaze.
A later touch-up of gilt paint was done to the only defect found on the rim.
From the tint of the body clay, the way the foot ring was shaped and the accumulation of glaze around the mouth rim, all the characteristics stated out that it was a piece from Southern Song Dynasty...

A most desirable signed Matl from when Matilde Poulat was designing in her shop. This necklace has a 16.75 in. wearable length with a width of .80 of an inch. The head is the larger size with varied tones of large blue turquoise stones. Old Matl is so hard to find and this design is seen mostly in gold wash over silver. This one is all silver. An exqusite example of enamel work on ginbari style foil background depicting a dragon swirling and coiling around the neck of the vase. Artist signed on the bottom measuring approx. 9.5 inches tall. In excellent condition but for some discoloration or tarnish on the silver foil under the enamel and some fine stress lines (see picture) overall a masterpiece of this Japanese art form.

Properly signed Margot de Taxco by Margot Van Voorhies Carr. The construction is open backed repousse with a strong frame around the edges that make it not bendable as well as 70 grams of silver thickness. This silver is exceptionally higher than 925. The gap is 1 inch and the diameter for fit is 2.25in. The height of the cuff is 1 7/8th inches tall. This is an example without damage and is also a very rare Margot. This should be at the top of any collectors list.

This is a fine reddish brown piece of bronze censer. It is of bombe shaped standing on three short feet resting on a curved lotus stand. On the underside of the bronzer censer, it bears the Ming dynasty Xuande reign mark but from the Qing dynasty, circa. 18th century. The stand is included with the censer.
